The other day on live I was playing Infection on Last Resort and discovered and interesting way to stay alive for a while. For those of you who have had live for a while odds are you already know this, but for those of you who possibly got it for the holidays, or relatively soon, you may not know. Anyway - most people start off in the building ( If you're still human ). From there run to the shotgun, and switch it for you assault rifle, leaving you with a battle rifle and shotgun. Normally I prefer assault rifle but in this case the battle rifle is better. Continue, with shotgun at the ready ( just in case you see any zombies on your motion tracker), down toward the beach. From here tread as far out in the water as you can. Equip your BR and take zombies down from there. This helps because they usually spawn near the stairs, giving you a great shot at them. Also - seeing as you are so far away, and out in the open - if they see you they still need to get to you
- which will give you time to pick them off. If for some reason one gets too close, take out your shotgun and eliminate them. Also for those who don't know this, though most of you will, new to halo 3, the sword has a parry technice. This helps if you run out of shotgun ammo. Grab a sword, and if the time ever comes where a zombie gets to close with their sword use the technice. If you don't know how to, wait until it is possible to use a charge maneuver at your enemy (when the reticule of the sword turns red) then press B. If they too decided to charge you, you will parry their sword, stunning them and draining their shields. from here a simple melee with the sword should kill them.
Note that this tip works best for infection games where the zombies are only equipped with swords.
