Now for those who don't know, DearS is an anime/manga that is... Basically it's porn... That's the only reason it's not a 10. It's an incredible show and manga, but it's for mature audiences... Which is why a 14 year old is reviewing it... *Adjusts imaginary glasses, and clears throat with a red face.*
A few years ago, a UFO crashed landed in the Tokyo Bay. Having no way of returning home, the beings on it decided to make Earth their new home. Takeya Ikuhara lives a normal high school life and could care less about the DearS. While coming home from school one day, he stumbles upon a beautiful girl wearing nothing but the blanket she is covered in. Deciding he can't leave her there, Takeya takes her home where he finds out she is one of DearS. Unlike the other DearS, the girl, Ren, can't speak anything other then the DearS language and has little knowledge of life on earth. Unfortunately for Takeya, Ren decides to make Takeya her master. Now with Ren living with him, Takeya's life will never be the same.
Quality - Made in 2004, the show, even now, still has good quality picture, and music. a 9/10
Characters - Extremely different, and highly funny. The characters are ones to remember, as they are nearly perfectly set up for the ultimate comedy Anime. 10/10
Plot - Though the plot is similar to Chobits, or Happy Lesson (Refer to TV.com for a summary if your unfamiliar.) It is still very original, and should have gotten several more episodes than it did. (Only 12!!! WTF!?!?!? D:) 8/10
Comedy - HIGHLY funny. If your into comedy animes, this is by far the best one to watch. 9/10
Seriousness - Though this is mainly comedy, there are several serious moments to it, such as the final two episodes, where Ren gets kidnapped, and nearly killed. 9/10
Romance - Almost ALL romance. That's all I have to say about this. 10/10
Manga - Even better than the anime, the manga, like many other shows, is better. 10/10
Overall - A highly funny manga/anime that I definatly recommend. If you have any comments to add, please do. Enjoy. 9/10
