something epic huh......an epic RPG series huh? something with huge plot/character development like Tales of Symphonia,Kingdom Hearts,Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy 6 Have you tried the Xenosaga franchise? it's a series of science fiction, space drama RPGs which spawned 3 Games for the playstation 2 developed by Namco-Bandai and also spawned a 12 episode anime tv series dubbed by ADV Films. they're pretty good on storyline, but the gameplay is kind of akward,it takes awhile getting used to the gameplay mechanics in the Xenosaga games. as for the anime series, while short, but also holds up well on it's on the story of the xenosaga games features a female scientist named Shion Uzumi who develops a female android with blue hair named Kos-MOs- equiped with scouter reading and a plasma blaster (kind of think of her as gamer's female answer to Megaman or something) if your looking for an epic female video game android, than Kos-Mos is your winner. (oh sure, theres Samus Aran from metroid with the Power Suit) |

Epic...I would say give these a try: The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (Limited Screenings in LA and NY, DVD this fall) (movie; 98 mins) Tsubasa Chronicle (TV; 52 Episodes one movie, three OAV's) (can get a little on the slow side) (Season 1 and first movie out by FUNimation Season 2 and OAV's are pending release in the states) for games you might want to try the .hack// quartet (.hack//Infection, Mutation, Outbreak, Quarantine) Chrono Crusade (TV; 26 episodes out by ADV) Voices of a Distant Star (movie; 30 mins) (Out on DVD by ADV) The Place Promised in Our Early Days (movie 91 mins) (Out by ADV) |

As for Xenosaga, the gameplay is really poor in my opinion. I say just watch the Anime |

Try Gurren Lagann. If it isn't the very definition of epic, I don't know what is. Monster and Gankutsuou might also fit the criteria if you don't mind something with a more mature slant. |

FFVII: Crisis Core might be one of the few epic RPGs on the PlayStation Portable. It's the freshest of the bunch and it should satisfy any fans taste. I haven't even beaten the original FFVII, but I'm quite satisfied with this title. It's engaging despite the awkward level system. It plays out like a mixture of FFXII and Kingdom Hearts. I wish I could give you a good recommendation on a fresh anime series, but I'm having trouble with that myself. I haven't found anything worthy of praise that hasn't been finished already, so I've been trying to finish up Hajime no Ippo. I suppose I could suggest Myself; Yourself since it's one of the few romance animes worth watching. |

Try out Baten Kaitos Origins. It has a bit of a darker story to it than Baten Kaitos: EWatLO and the gameplay is much better and much faster as well. The party members each share one deck and that deck is constantly recycling its cards. With the ability to remove cards from your deck at will, nothing will stop you from releasing the full force of your attacks. Your relationship with the main character(Sagi) will change the way the battle plays out. With a good, strong relationship with him, you can string together powerful combos with the cards you are granted and you'll have a better chance of healing or reviving party members, as healing cards will pop up more often than usual. The voice acting in Origins is quite superb. The voice actors seem to be more into the role that they are playing. XO BKO has some odd characters and some wicked bosses as well as a number of battles that aren't too terribly difficult, yet aren't too terribly easy either. |
