Hello, and welcome to the guide that will explain all that you need to know regarding our Forum. Some of you may remember the old version of this. Well, this is the Forum Guide 2.0. For you newcomers, this explains all that regards the Axem Forum- what to do, what not to do, how to do it, etc. I have tried to make this guide as elaborate as possible to answer your questions. I suggest you read the WHOLE guide if you are a newcomer, or find a certain part if you just have a question regarding the Forum.
I have included a Table of Contents in order to let you easily pick and decide what section you would like to use. Beside each section is a number. Press the Control Key (Ctrl) and the 'f' key (without the apostrophes) simultaneously to bring up a search box. Type in the number/letter combination of the section you want and hit Enter. Keep pressing that until you get to your section.

-1A) Question and Answer Session-
~Question: What is an Axem? I've never heard of them before...
Answer: An Axem is a creature from Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars for Super Nintendo OR Super Famicom (For those of you in Japan or other areas). They were five robotic looking creatures made of Living Metal that the final enemy of the game, Smithy, sent out. They were probably one of the hardest set bosses in the game. We've taken those five and created our own.
~Question: What does an Axem look like?
Answer: All right, we seem to get this question a lot from newcomers. To find out specifically what the ORIGINAL five Axems look like, go to www.google.com. After that, look below the giant Google symbol and find "Images". Click that. You should be brought to a search box that looks much like the one you first come to, except this one finds pictures on the internet. Type in "Axem Rangers" (without the quotation marks) and hit enter. You should find several pictures of the Axems. Their colors are (going down the line) Pink, Black, Red, Yellow, and Green.
~Question: Is this all Axems? Because I've seen things called Jr. Koopas...
Answer: All right, there are actually three "species", so to speak, at the Axem Forum. They are Axems, Jr. Koopas, and Bob-Ombs. I've already explained what an Axem is, but a Jr. Koopa is an entirely different thing. Jr. Koopas are featured in Paper Mario for the Nintendo 64 (or "N64"). They looked like the four colored Koopas that were the first major boss in Paper Mario. Bob-Ombs are small, walking talking bombs. Simple enough.
~Question: What's the point of this place? What do you do?
Answer: I've included an explanation about what we do at the Forum below.
-2B) Creating an Axem/Jr. Koopa/Bob-Omb Name- All right, creating a name is probably the easiest part of this whole Forum. Usually we only take names that have relation to color or element, but because most of them are taken up, we have begun to take original names. We advise you not to make overly annoying names, such as "Axem 45252BA", since that is a little too original. By original, we mean things like "Axem Blood Knight" or "Axem Banger", etc.
Examples of Axem names: Axem Godess Autumn, Axem Orange, JKI (stands for Jr. Koopa Indigo), Axem Wizard, Dying Axem, Bob-Omb Ice.
All of those above names are taken, so do not use them.
Also, a name must have the word(s) Axem, Jr. Koopa, or Bob-Omb in them. Ask a name approver to approver your name. Please be nice about it; don't demand your name to be approved. Until a name is approved, you are not technically an Axem.
As a final note, I would recommend getting a Bob-Omb name, as there are not very many approvers for them, and the approvers hardly ever show up. I only included them in this guide because they are a part of the Axem Forum.
-3C) Stats for your Character-
No, I am not going to get into how to make stats, since Zelda Fanatic is creating a guide for that. I will explain to you what stats are.
In short terms, stats are all the information your Axem needs. This includes a name, status (good, evil, neutral), battle information (Heart Points, attacks, and the "Stat Points"), and a brief section telling about your character's appearance and attitude.
Stats are an ALMOST essential part of the Forum, since many stories (talked about in section 5E) require stats to be used. We advise you to make some, and then ask a Stat Approver if the stats are okay. The approver will give you the say or no-say, and will tell you what to correct (if correction is needed). Then you follow their guidelines and correct, then show them again and ask for approval. You repeat this process until they are approved. Please try to limit the amount of times you need to correct to two. This helps to not frustrate the approvers.
-4D) Rules of the Axem Forum- Here I will explain the do's and don'ts of the Axem Forum.
~Be courteous to other people. Believe me, there are people watching.
~Cussing, sexual language, offensive slang, and racial discrimination (including religion, skin color, blood, etc.) is all banned and WILL get you a Global Banning easy, especially if it is especially hurtful.
~None of the "I'm supreme", yadda yadda yadda. We're equal here. At this Forum you may hear the terms "veteran", "regular", and "newbie". A newbie is a new person, usually treated like a little kid for a couple weeks. Then there are regulars, who frequently come to the Forum. And there are veterans, who are people who have gone to the Forum for at least two-and-a-half to three years or more. That's the only "leveling" you may hear.
~Spamming or Flooding, two terms for making lots of senseless posts, is not allowed.
There are more, but I'm not going to put them down because it's stuff that you shouldn't even do or say in real life. Use your head.
Now, Over Flame, our Moderator, doesn't appear a lot, but that doesn't mean you can run off like and wreak havoc. There are regulars who are what we call "Roaming Moderators", and they can tag posts and ban people.
If you do violate the rules so much as to get Moderators talking to you, you can get one of the following:
~A Day Ban- Bans you from the Forum for however long the Moderator wants.
~Name Ban- Bans you from using that specific name.
~IP Ban/Global Ban- Bans you from ever posting at Gametalk, in all of its Forums
Moderators have the ability to lift bans, but don't expect them to. One of the few circumstances that would happen might include being impersonated by someone else.
-5E) Creating a Story-
Stories are commonly abundant in the Axem Forum. Some of the stories that you may see are "The Ytreeb Conspiracies", "Chain of Thought", "Fight4Power", as well as a few others.
If you read a story, please rate it or at least give a good comment to the author. It boosts their confidence and gives them the will to write more. Don't be 100% optimistic, but don't be incredibly harsh. Things such as, "THIS STORY IS TEH SUCKAH" will not only get people mad at you, but perhaps even a name-ban.
Now, if you're planning to write a story, good for you! Writing is commonly noticed in the Axem Forum, and a great way to meet people. It's simple to get started. Think of a title. Think of a plot, once you've got that in your head, you can go to the next step.
Once you've got the basics, it's time to find people who are willing to be in it. Make a post with a title such as, "Sign-Ups for (Enter your title here)". Then, inside, clarify how many people you need. Between 6-10 is always good for starting out. Also, it helps to clarify how many good people you need, how many bad, and how many neutral.
This is where stats come in. If you plan on any battling taking place during your story, you need stats. Ask for them. MAKE SURE THEY ARE APPROVED. I have before gotten stats that were 100% unapproved, and the stat approvers had even gone so far as to ban those stats, but the person still gave them to me.
-6F) Final word-
Well, if you have read all of this information, you are well on your way to becoming a full-fledged member of the Forum. Don't be shy, jump right in. We're all waiting for you!
