Christopher Walken has one of the most symmetrical faces I've ever seen. Here's a poem about it that I just made up. Walken, Walken, burning bright, In the forests of the night; What immortal hand or eye, Could frame thy fearful symmetry? In what distant deeps or skies. Burnt the fire of thine eyes? On what wings dare he aspire? What the hand, dare seize the fire? And what shoulder, & what art, Could twist the sinews of thy heart? And when thy heart began to beat, What dread hand? & what dread feet? What the hammer? what the chain, In what furnace was thy brain? What the anvil? what dread grasp, Dare its deadly terrors clasp! When the stars threw down their spears And water'd heaven with their tears: Did he smile his work to see? Did he who made the Lamb make thee? Walken, Walken, burning bright, In the forests of the night: What immortal hand or eye, Dare frame thy fearful symmetry? |

I'd seen the first one before but the second was new and very much enjoyed. Weird question, but how did you get the nickname "Strodiggy"? |

Been talking to Xhin, eh? College, it was written by one of my friends (Darius) on my dorm room door. It's tied into my real name. I ended up saying "He ain't serious, he just D-rius" like announcing him when he'd come into a room. No, we were NEVER intoxicated..... |

I haven't talked to Xhin about it, but it's in your email address and some blog also refers to you with that name. I hope your real name is Diggy. Or Strod. How many years did you live in dorms on your campus? How many years did you live in dorms on your campus completely sober? |

JUST CURIOUS as to what blog and how you know my email. Soooo like, where on the entarwebz is this blog? |

OH...the questions at hand...1 year in the dorms (I had gotten my AA back home) and 1 1/2 with terrible roommates in houses....neither with more than 24-48 hours sober. |

Xhin sent out that mass email about his backup Spirituality forum and it had many forum regs' email addresses in it. Do you want me to paste the URL here? Did you choose roommates that ended up being bad, or what? Two friends and I are in the near 90% sure range that we're getting a house together next year. I'm really looking forward to it. |

Looked good, but chose bad. One was a drug-(the bad kind)-dealer whose father was a federal judge so he got away with everything and acted like it (he'd put assault charges on a past room mate who'd punched him once....and the guy got the maximum penalty for it. Rob would have totally deserved the punch by my reckoning), another who was nice but dumb and trouble-prone, and one who was cool but who was growing pot in his room unbeknownst to me. If you know them well it may be an awesome experience. I knew mine for a few months before hand, but obviously not well enough. I wish you the best of luck. E-mail me that url if'n you don't mind, suh. |

Well hopefully they didn't cause you too much trouble. I've known both of the guys for about a year and a half now (one of them in my current roommate) and they're both great guys. We went camping together last summer and we had a blast. It was roughin' it camping, the only good kind. At a nudist lake, which we were surprised to find out. Sending... |

Happy belated birthday, EN. Not sure if I swung over to 9-11 long enough to comment in your thread. Out of curiosity, was it a good surprise or a bad surprise to find you were at a nudist lake? |

Mixed bag. It wasn't horrible in any way. It was funny at first and then it just became normal. Until the third day when a guy hiked up with his two dogs, stripped down to just flippers, and then started swimming in the lake with his pets. It was very absurd. There were some attractive women there though, and I'm not ashamed to say that I busted out the binoculars a time or two. But there was no one from my age range, which was unfortunate. |

On the subject of nudist thingys, I took my son and heir to Fuerteventura where we went stunt kite flying on what transpired to be a nudist beach. WileECoyote Jnr was doing his thing, concentrating on not crashing the kite when the oldest couple I have ever seen walked the other way towards him, naked, suntanned and very leathery. He looked quickly at them, returned to his kite concentration, landed the kite, looked at me and seriously said 'Mummy, I nearly crashed my kite, my willy won't look like that when I'm old will it? I cried laughing. |
