2001. 2010. At the very least, you should know 2001. Thanks for posting this WinterBorn, he's one of the fathers of SciFi. He will be missed, but we will read his works forever. |

To be honest, I've never read anything by Arthur C. Clarke. I haven't even seen all of Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey. Any recommendations? |

Sad to hear. Thanks, WinterBorn. Watsuki, read the book before watching the rest of the movie. The book is much better, and you might notice where elements of 2001 (book) have been borrowed for other works and movies, including a recent movie based loosely on an Asimov book. |

This is sad news. A wonderful person as well as a great author. He wrote over 100 books, had an astroid and even a dinosaur species named after him. |

Yes WinterBorn you are right. I also cut my teeth on Arthur C Clark, Asimov and E E Doc Smith. At least they left something that future generations will be able to read and enjoy. RIP |

Darn, if my internet wasn't down, I would've posted this. You want to know a weird coincidence? On that very night, I decided to start reading His RAMA series. I actually enjoyed the first one. Now that the last of the BIG THREE is dead, who do you think are their modern, living replacements? |
