That is a good one. I have a collection of some of his better-known and best short stories. He was such a master of imagery! |

The Black Cat is my fav, tho I do love the Tell Tale Heart :) Anyone interested in one of the originators to the Horror/Suspense genre should pick up a short story collection by Poe. |

Somewhere I have (or had) a complete collection of Poe's works, but here are a few that you might have heard of that I recommend: The Murders in the Rue Morgue The Purloined Letter The Fall of the House of Usher The Pit and the Pendulum Catahoula, I'll read The Black Cat again. I don't remember it. I also can't remember A Descent into the Maelstrom, The Masque of the Red Death, The Assignation, and The Man That Was Used Up; but I have the image of a recollection that I liked these. |

Just finished it. I'm not so sure I read that one before. I think I'd have remembered it. The Black Cat is Poe in true form, easily designating for itself the position of favorite in the hearts of animal lovers. |

Dupin pwns. To understand the TTH properly you should read 'The Imp of the Perverse'. |

Glad you liked the Black Cat mom :) You gave me one back that I don't remember: The Assignation. I will have to find it! |
