Edger Allen Poe's "Tell Tale Heart"
|
This story is very great and is about a crazy man, who knows this old man, and the other man has a plan to kill the older man, because of his glass eye. The crazy man does kill the old man, and puts all his body parts under the wood floors. As the Police finally meet up with the crazy man, he tells the Police that his Heart is still Beating.... And they find the old man and arrest the killer.

They don't find the body, the narrator confesses. Why? Perverseness. Read 'Imp of the Perverse', another short story by Poe. |

There's another "Poe" discussion a couple of threads down. It's the "back and with a new book suggestion" post. Tell-Tale Heart is one of the best. |

I have an entire collection of Poe's short stories, poetry, and his one novel. However, I haven't read very many of his works. I love his work, but never find the time for short stories. Not lately anyway. I'm trying to read a lot of the books in my room so I can have time to relax and read some of his works or classics. I got a looooong way to go though. Once I get at least 1/2 done than I'll probably easen up a bit. Besides, I want to see how many books I can read this year. |

I read this in class. It was the first time I was creeped out by Poe's writing. |
