Good poll, but I can't narrow it down enough to vote on just one... Just about anything except romance novels, but it depends on why and when I'm reading. If I want something light for bedtime reading or to escape into, I don't want a lot of political propoganda to wade through just to enjoy the story. If I want to read something meatier, though, I don't want it watered-down and cutesy. Then there are things like Lord of the Rings. It's a good story with substance (but not pushiness), and is so well written it satisfies on several levels. That's the kind of thing I can read more than once. |

Ohh, another Terry Pratchet fan!! Wait, how can I call myself a fan when I haven't even got Making Money yet and let my book-destroying sister read almost every one I have? Oh well. Anyway, I've got a huge collection of varying books. I don't know which one I like the best, but since both Dune and Ender's Game are on genre, I'll have to say Science Fiction. |

fantasy of any kind and Sci-fi, but I usually don't read books more than once unless, well, I feel like it. |

Whats this? No oriental genre? No fantasy?! This is an outrage, my dear sir! An outrage! ...Not really, of course. =P I read the sort of books put up there, but not as frequently as I do others. My biggest two favorites are usually Fantasy and Oriental, but seeing as my poor loved Historical Fiction has been voted for.. I'm actually reading a Historical Fiction about the daughter of William Shakespeare. Really good so far. |
