The Bartimaeus Trilogy, by Jonathan Stroud
|
It's fantasy, so if you're into Harry Potter, Inheritence Trilogy or anything of the sort, give it a try! It's really good, and reallly funny too. I don't want to give anything away, but I'm so happy I started reading it because of 1 chapter in the final book. Really good.

Yes, I love it too. I better give it another read some time. If memory serves me correctly, it's about the modern Government of Britain, but everyone of high office can summon specific demons to do all their bidding-war, torturing kids, you name it-and we follow the life of this guy who becomes one of those lords...and he likes to summon one demon in particular to help him with tough spots. Man, I need to reread those books because I can barely remember a thing. Oh, you're on the 3rd book? The ending is truely unexpected and gruesome. |

to Camando Michael: yeah that's the outline of the series, pretty much. And I agree about the ending, but I think he ended it well, at the same time to Shiekdude: I know what you mean. If my brother hadn't told me to stick with it even though it was a little stange, and him constantly (and unesisarily), explaining little facts and things to me, I probably would have stopped reading it too. But I can't stress enough how glad I am about my reading it. I usually don't post much about book,s and just read what other people post, but I thought I had to say somethign about these books. Anyway, it's up to you if you stick with it or not. |
