Tip for Classic Games Forum Provided by: Drone Burns May 28, 2006 Negative 1 World (Super Mario Bros.) This tip is currently ranked 2.5 out of 5 by a bunch of voters. Drone Burns has earned 2 gems! To access the negative one world in Super Mario Bros., clear World 1-1 and get to the end of 1-2. Jump on the pipe through which you would normally go if you were proceeding to 1-3. Go to the right of the pipe as far as possible, and keep walking right until the black background on the left disappears, and you can see the pipes on the right. After that, walk back and forth across the pipe seven times. Next, smash the block above you that is just one to the left of the one directly on the right. Smash the block that is just left of the one you have just smashed. Then, go on the edge of the pipe so that one of Mario's feet is hanging off of the pipe, and the other on. Once in that position, jump right and try to smash the block on the right while pressing left and right alternatively. You do not actually smash that block, but you will be inside of the huge chunk of blocks inbetween where you are and the warp zone. Go to the right until you reach the three pipes (warp zone), and go down the one on the right. You will be in the Negative 1 World, which is an underwater stage. Once you clear it, you must do the entire stage over and over again until you die. Good luck!
