These are the rules of the [future] forum that Korsoth and I came up with together. From this point on they are in place.

Usually three warnings are given before a name ban. If you continue under another name, no warning will be given, but instead an automatic IP ban. When you have learned your lesson, you may go to the [complaints] forum and ask for Korsoth or Megan and we will consider unbanning you. However, there are a few exceptions to this rule. These exceptions are listed below.

1. The standard amount of warnings given is two. Three are given because a person may not know the rules of the forum. If a person is a regular, (aka, they know the rules of the forum), the first warning is omitted.

2. Off-topic chats are not allowed besides the daily post by Korsoth and I. "Hello" and "Goodbye" posts are not allowed because they are uneccesarry. If you want to say hello or goodbye you can do so in a reply to another post. Anyone who posts an off-topic post will get a warning.

3. The words "crap" and "pissed" are allowed but no other curse words, as well as racial slurs and sexual harassment. Anyone who posts anything other than those words will get a warning. However, excessive cursing can result in an automatic name ban without warnings.

4. Friendly debates are allowed, however fighting and flaming another person is not. I don't care if the other person "started it". If someone flames another person or tries to start a fight, he or she will receive a warning.

5. Spam is not allowed. Usually a spammer will receive three warnings but excessive spamming can result in an automatic name or IP ban depending on the situation, without warning.

6. No names including inappropriate words will be allowed, and no names such as "is stupid" or "is a freak" will be allowed. No names with the word "virus" in them are allowed because people sometimes think that person is actually a virus and that being in a forum will cause them to catch the virus. This is not true and you cannot catch a virus unless you download it, or unless you have a trojan, but because this is not common knowledge names with the word "virus" are not allowed. Anyone with an inappropriate name will be name banned and asked to find an appropriate name. They will also recieve a warning.

7. No cybering or looking for boyfriends/girlfriends; cybering is not allowed anywhere, but if you want a boyfriend or girlfriend you can look for one in [pointless]. Any of this in [future] will NOT be tolerated and excessive cybering can result in an automatic name ban without warnings.

8. No blank posts or replies. This is simply spam and just takes up server space. These posts will be deleted and the poster will recieve a warning.

9. No stretching pages. Stretching is posting a long series of characters in a row to stretch a page out. It is not allowed because it becomes annoying when the pages are stretched and you have to scroll to see all the topics and the authors, etc. Anyone who stretches will recieve a warning.

10. Advertising is not allowed, and that includes posting links to ANY site other than gametalk. Even if it's your own webpage. Anyone who advertises will recieve a warning. Of course, impersonating someone is against the rules. Impersonating means that someone pretends to be someone else. A very common trick is the capital "i", lowercase "L" trick. These two letters look exactly the same on GT so anyone who has these letters in your name, watch out. You may want to password all names similar to your name in this aspect. Also sometimes people will add dots or other symbols to someone's name. This is also categorized as impersonating. Please watch out for this. It is very nasty and can inflame emotions, and if you begin to flame the impersonator you may recieve a warning as well.

11. Personal Information: Please remember that this is a public website and anyone can view anything that you post! If someone sees something you posted, such as your screenname, and you did not intend for them to, well, tough luck, GT cannot do anything to help. However if you post something very specific about yourself such as your address of phone number, it will be deleted.

12. Only Korsoth or ~Megan~ are allowed to post the daily chat, because they are mods and if anyone else is able to do it people will think that it is ok to post off topic, and only mods are allowed to do that (or so im told :P)
