C++ is far more usefull than Java. My thoughts on C# is that it is basically a dodgy Microsoft version of C/C++. Java can do a wide variety of things but C++ is what most of the programming world uses now. But if you want to actually SEE your program and plan it out neatly, Visual Basic (VB) is a pretty good language. |

C# is a relatively new language compared to C++ but, it can do just as well in terms of making professional applications or games. In fact I would understand if the game industry eventually lead into using C# within a few years. Surely Project DigiPen (a top game dev institute for students wanting to enter the industry) has recognized it and started teaching Game Dev with C# as well. |
