THE 4 FOUNDERS OF HOGWARTS
1. GODRIC GRYFFINDOR
Godric Gryffindor believed that anyone who possesed magical ability should be allowed to attend Hogwarts. The Sorting Hat originally belonged to Gryffindor! His sword, with rubies in the handle,also survived and is resting in peace in Hogwarts.
It is possible that the village of Godric's Hollow is named after Godric Gryffindor!
2. ROWENA RAVENCLAW
Rowena Ravenclaw is the only one in the history of Hogwarts who came up with the best ever-changing floor plan. She's best remembered for her inteligence and creativity. She was also dearest friend with Helga Hufflepuff. She also stated that "We will teach only those whose intelligence is surest.
She was ranked best in all the Wizard Cards!
3. HELGA HUFFLEPUFF
Helga Hufflepuff brought people who were goos at other arts excluding bravery, intelligence and pure ancestry. She brought them together to make Hogwarts a better place and was known for her loving and affectionate ways.
She was the kindest of the 4 founders!
4. SALAZAR SLYTHERIN
Salazar Slytherin believed tht only pure-blood wizards and wiches should be allowed to attend Hogwarts. He got into an argument about this with Godric Gryffindor and eventually left the school. There was a legend that Slytherin built a secret chamber somewhere in the school that only their true heir would be able to open. This chamber, known as the Chamber of Secrets, would contain a monster that would finish the 'noble purpose' of killing all Muggle-born students at Hogwarts.
There is some evidence that Slytherin was unusual looking. The statue of Slytherin was described as being "ancient and monkey-like"!
