Not that kind of gay. Let's just say that it is possible that Dumbledore was more than just friends with Grindelwald (though when I found out my immediate thought was Snape don't ask me why)

and while he was happy with grindewald, who shared all his ideas, he was passive with snape; he may have not really been happy around him, but rather weary of snape's outbursts on how much he loved lily, dumby was sick and tired of hearing it all the time

Then how come when JK Rowling read a script for the Half-Blood Prince movie, she crossed out a line where Dumbledore recalls a past relationship with a woman, and wrote in the margin "Dumbledore is gay"

because he doesnt need to be with a woman to be happy idiot, and so there's no point in that. plus JK just wanted to reduce the amount of "movie garbage" as since what does dumby's relationships have anything to do with the story? how about saving screen time for the actual plot of the book?
