What if...

Wouldn't it be awesome if you could view the whole series of Harry Potter from one of the other characters? Well, Dean Thomas and Seamus Finnigan both had some pretty exiting years. Neval even more so. Ron would be just boring since we know all about him, probably the same with hermione. Maybe Malfoy...

already thought that up, years ago, but i'd like to see the series from voldemort's perspective. first book would be him attacking the potter's, plotting and such, then after being defeated by harry, then possessing Quirrell, finding harry in the forest, in the classes, and then plotting to get the stone, second book, him controlling ginny, reopening the chamber, and all that, third book mostly revolved around sirius, but i'm sure it would be mostly about when wormtail came to him, finding him, and all the plans until the forth book (finding out how to come back to human forum, the plotting of the world cup, ect.) and then his point of view of the setup of the twiwizard contest, fifth, him getting to the department of mysteries, and finding out harry is finding out his moods, visions, thoughts and such... i could go on and on about everything, but i'm assuming you get my point. but i'd find it interesting from his friend's perspective too... |

You'd need a character who saw as much as Harry did in order for it to be interesting enough. Unfortunately, no one in the HP universe saw half as much as Harry did during those seven years, including people like Voldemort and Dumbledore. Though with Dumbledore I would be satisfied with a narrative about his thinking of the 'political' atmosphere of those years and what he was thinking thoughout all of his actions and inactions, though that might ruin his mysticism a bit. |

i'd find it more interesting if the new view is from the "dark side", malfoy's view would be great too. He saw a lot of Harry, and knew what was going on at the time. Could be interesting from his side on quidditch matches, opening the chamber, knowing that sirius black isn't dangerous to harry, knowing that the twi-wizard tournament is a set up, and an inside to being a deatheater. |

I would say Malfoy, Dumbledore, and Voldemort. All three would be very entertaining, just to see inside their heads and make out their opinions. Malfoy and his hate for Harry, not to mention his struggle between good and bad. Dumbledore's adventures would be brilliant! Considering how often he was away on his own adventures while also keeping track of Harry. I'm sure Dumbledore would have a lot of interesting opinions inside his head. Voldamort would simply be a relief from the "good guys". I mean it would be exciting to see the point of view of the man who wants to bring pain and suffering to the hero we followed through 7 books. They could even pair Dumbledore and Voldamort into one book. Have a chapter of Dumbledore than a chapter of Voldamort. Many excellent books have been written in that forum. I wouldn't mind reading a book from each of the memebers of the Order's point of views. It could be set up in the forum like I just said with Dumby and Voldy. Each of the memeber's could have a chapter after one another. |
