It seems like a lot of volume. How often are you deloading? |

Lol, croaker, I appreciate your help but you gotta simplify what you say, I read a thousand magazines but rarely here those terms, and maybe you made them up yourself as I make up words for working out. What do you mean by deloading? Taking off weight? if by that it's alot, most of the time start, add, add, "deload", "deload" |

I definitely wouldn't use the results of a poll on gametalk to determine my workout routine.. And it would make sense to me for your two options to be "lower reps, higher weight" or "higher reps, lower weight". Changing the weight without changing the reps to accomodate is stupid... |

"Deloading" is just a fancy way of saying when are you going to take a break. |

Danger Ranger, I have always done that, higher and lower weight without changing reps. You should try it, lou ferrigno does it, and he's pretty big, it's cool cause you start at an easy weight then the highest you go is really hard, then when you go back down to the easiest weight it feel like a real heavy weight! it works real well! lazyas(kan)be- Does that mean like between sets, or days? |

Is Lou natural though? Are you natural? Follow a natural routine if you want natural results. And a deload is usually an entire week. |

eh, probably not, but i'm sure he would be trying to do the best workout he could even if he was roiding, and he is using the same arm workout he did back in the 70's, and there was ALOT less roids used back then, to qoute arnold "10, maybe not if 6 percent of what's used today". And Lou's arms were ALMOST as good as arnolds. anyways. I haven't deloaded for along time, only once since probably summer. The only time I can say I almost deloaded is taking the lowest amount of weight I use, and working out my whole body, which I normally don't do, and do real slow, perfect form workout, still takes the same amount of time but not nearly as strenuos as a single body part with heavy weight workout, so that was about all the deloading I needed, that was maybe a month ago. And i've seen how much muscle goes down in for weeks, alot, even when I was inderectly working my arms with other excersizes, but not mainly for arms, they went down tremendously. my teacher in p.e. said we would start weight training today, but we didn't, he said we would do it twice a week (i normally work out 4 times a week) So when he starts that up, I won't work out anymore for about 1-2 weeks, only the time in school, which is probably only 45 minutes, after we run for 45 minutes. |
