I have trouble falling asleep. I usually fantasize about my crush until it finally turns into a dream, it always works... but I never fall asleep fast enough. If I just lie there thinking about nothing/something boring or too exciting, I just cannot fall asleep at all, especially if I lay there thinking about nothing. I only get around 6-7 hours on average... I go to bed around 9:30 to 10:30 frequently to wake up at 6:45 in morning. I always yawn all day and I feel that I could do better in school with more sleep. I wish school started later. I know that it is to get you ready for the real world, but I won't need as much sleep when I am passed school. I will be fully developed by then and probably not require as much hours of Rapid Eye Movement stage in sleep, which is where you dream.
I love dreaming. If I knew how to fall asleep, I would be in bed at 8 at night. Problem; The earlier I go to bed, the harder it is for me to fall asleep, then I get stressed out and cannot fall asleep for a while. During the course of summer or a holiday, I will stay up late for a few nights and then I can't fall asleep until around 1 AM. It honestly takes me hours to actually start sleeping. It's not as severe as insomnia, but it is an issue that makes a big significance in performing good effort in school activities and such. I can never fall asleep during the day, no matter how tired I am ( I don't think that happened since I was a little kid in my life ). Some people go to bed after me and fall asleep before I do, it really makes me jealous and anxious, which makes things worse.
I am generally very healthy. I eat healthy, I play sports like martial arts and hockey. So what can I do, what should I do when sleeping? Please don't give me little pointers on improving my chances of sleeping like wearing socks... I actually need to know "how" to sleep xD. I guess I am a light sleeper. I wake up during the night sometimes, not that often.
