Hello, it's bgm coming to teach you how to multiply any number by 11. Let's start with two digit numbers Assuming we want to know how to multiply 43 times 11 without using a calculator you do the following thing: Add both the numbers So we get 4 + 3 =? Of course, it's 7. Then you... Squeeze the number seven in the middle. 473. This is your answer. Let's try that with another number. 27 times 11 Add. 2 + 7 = 9 Squeeze 9 in the middle. 297. That's your answer. Assuming you have a number in which the two numbers add up to more than 10. Let's take a number that fits that. 29. 2 + 9 = 11 Squeeze the number in and you get 2119! Is that the answer? Of course not you complete cretin. 29 Add 2 + 9 = 11 Add one to the FIRST number, in this case 2, and then squeeze 1 in the middle. 2+1 = 3 39 Squeeze 1 in there. 319! That's your awnser. Another number Let's try 39. 39. 3 + 9 = 12 Add one to 3 making it 4 Squeeze the second number (2) in the middle. 429. That's your awnser! Three + digit numbers. Let's Say I want to know what 321 times 11 is. 321 Drop the first number so we have: 3 Add the first number to the second number. 3+2 = 5. Then get the answer and put it next to the first number. 35 Then add the second number to the third number. 2 + 1 =3. Add that number to the second number that we have. 353 Then just drop the last number, in this case "1" 3531. That's your awnser! What if we got 10 or more during one of the additions? Let's try a number that would give us 10 or more in the addition. 39043 Drop the first number. "3" 3 Add the first number with the second number. 3 + 9 = 12 Oh no0! We stumbled upon a 12! NO don't put that number there. Add the first number in your 10+ awnser being "1" to the number that you got by using your last addition which was "3" We get 4 Drop the other number in your 10+ answer which would be 2. 42 Add the second number with the third number . 9 + 0 = 9. Drop that there. 429 Add the third number with the fourth number. 0 + 4 = 4. Drop that number. 4294 Add the fourth number with the fifth number. 4 + 3 = 7. Drop that number. 42947 Then just drop down the last number which would be 3. 429473. That's your awnser! This works with any number multiplied by 11! Ask your parents and friends, and show them that you're not as stupid as you think they think you are. :D
