Religious theory: God created the birds on--well, whatever day it was. He created the BIRDS, not the eggs. He created them to REPRODUCE AND GROW IN NUMBER. Therefore, the chicken came first. |

Assuming the egg in question is a chicken's egg, then the chicken would have to come first, or else there is no way for the egg to be kept warm, so the baby inside would die. |
