When I was 14, I was notified to have 5 teeth out and a brace for 18 months.
2 years later Im STILL waiting to hear about my operation to remove my teeth.
It knocks my confidence because I end up looking moody cos I don't smile.
My mom has sent a lot of letters to dentists, doctors and the hospital, and all they say is that I'm on the waiting list.
Now im 16 its going to cost £3000 to get the braces, and goodness knows how much along with removing those 5 teeth.
Its been stated that a patient is not meant to wait for more than 6 months here in the UK, or whatever.
Im starting college in September and my mom wants me to get a job, and Im reluctant to because my teeth stop me.
Im wondering whether a complaint should be wrote or not.
Cos 2 years is just a ridiculous time to wait.
If I dont get these done I could get problems eventually.
So Im not sure what to do.
I cant change dentists because it will cost too much and we hardly have any money.
My mother earns about £15 000 a year which isnt that much.
I dont have a father or any siblings.
If i do get a job for the summer half term, then I will only be around earning £20 a week which isnt much, plus im going to need that money for college.
This is one of the main things that are really getting to me right now...
