So your new to this forum? YOu want to roleplay and you kind of grasp what you are supposed to do but not fully grasp the concept. This tip is to help educate Newbies so that they don't become nOObs, but rather good and contributing RPers.

Note: The main part of the tip is btween the ~ ~ the rest is explaining more fully.

Tip 1. ~Do not meta-game or god mode, this is the most basic rule that we have.~ If you don't know what either of them are, like I myself at one time didn't know, I will shortly exlain. Meta-gaming is when you give yourself awesome weapons that appear out of nowhere, or your fortress get these giant traps around it all of a suden in the middle of battle, just anything like that is Meta-gaming. God moding is when you act like you are unbeatable, this can easily go along with meta-gaming.

Tip 2. ~Keep your OOC life out of your IC life.~ OOC is- Out Of Character; IC is- In Character. The Roleplaying takes place IC, if yu want to say something that coming from you not your character you use (( )) around the words, this is OOC posting, you do not have to do this if the topic post is OOC.

Tip 3. ~Try to settle arguments quickly and if it gets to big, bring in a mod (Joemarc).~ Just remember that Joemarc is busy so you should try and resolve the problem amongst yourselves first.

Tip 4. ~When making an entry post be descriptive, tell what you character looks like, how he is feeling, etc.~ THis is key to becoming a good RPer.

Tip 5. ~When fighting tell exactly what you are doing, and do not control the other person's character.~ Bad Eample- He thrust his sword at her. Good Example- He thrust his sword at her throat while leaping forward at her.

Tip 6. ~Create interesting dialogue and develop the story.~ Don't keep it boring make a new and seperate plot line, or something can go terribly wrong, just anything tokeep it interesting.

Tip 7. ~Keep it Tolkien while IC~ This means not to do something that would only happen outside Middle-earth.

Tip 8. ~While IC be cautious if your character does not know the person~ This is what prevents your character from being captured or killed.

Tip 9. ~Make a history for your character~ Remember that the past can effect how people act in the future.

Tip 10. ~Don't give your name out while IC to everyone you meet.~ This can also end up being dengerous to your character.

tip11. ~give your charector a class~ Don't just give thim a history and race. Some exaples for good people ~martyr, guardian, judge, ect~ and some for bad people ~Destroyer, Theif, Assassin ect.~ just anything you can think of to help further your charector.

tip 12. ~Be nice~ If your charector is evil, you can be as mean as you want in IC, but not OOC. This helps keep people having a good time while they are rping. If you are in for some mean people go to [jedisith] but not here.

tip 13. ~keep it fair~ Dont go out and say, I ran onto they battlefield and attacked liataru.(im using myself as an example because this has happened to me on [jedisith]) and without him even realising it, his head was cut off. instead, give them a chance to defend themselves. say something like, I lunged at Liataru and striked at his head, if all goes to plan, he should be decappitated.

tip 14. i dont know if this is a rule here but there is something called the ~one hour rule~ unless both players agree upon terminating this rule, if you are attacked within an hour, and dont reply, then you are dead.

tip 15. ~Postponing~ this is where you postpone a fight to a later time. both people have to be there for the postpone to be lifted.

These are the ones I can think up currently, and I hope they help you all.
