Are you asking for my help (though off topic here), or are you telling me what I "must" do? |

For starters, it wasn't I who banned you. So I am not the target of your frustration. That being said, people are generally more inclined to help when someone asks them nicely as opposed to rudely. |

No, you specifically are not the target of my previous frustrations, keith. But you see, having been banned for MONTHS with no explanation or offers of assistance I'm sure you can guess how I must be feeling. And NOW, instead of telling me directly whether you can even directly address the issue you're going to give me an etiquette lesson, right? Way to deal, guy. You run your own business like that too? Just help me out, won't you, please? An explanation, at least? ANYTHING other than the NOTHING I'm getting will do. It's been months and for no reason. I have the right to feel the way I do, you know. In my place you'd feel the same. |

If I'm being honest, I don't know who banned you, or that you were banned as long as you say you were. I don't even know the circumstances surrounding the situation. I cannot unban you in Complants, but I can look into the situation for you. I understand how frustrated you must be feeling, and on behalf of the Game Talk staff, I apologize in advance if it was indeed our error. That being said, I'd like to make something clear to you, and anyone else who happens upon this post: I am NOT your flunkie. GT moderators are here to help, and we'd be more than happy to do so, but we are people too. We wrk hard around the site, often without thanks. Day in and day out we have many people making demands and being rude. Again, I'll see what I can do. And I don't mean to make an example of you, but it needed to be said. |

THAT is MARVELLOUS. Thanks very much. And, no I don't want to come off as thinking you're my flunkie. But anywhere else that you work if a customer were to come up to you like I did and you were to come out at him like that you'd be SO FIRED. I'm a system administrator myself and I can tell you that when a user calls me yelling that he lost connectivity or something I'd better NOT act like that. But I also understand that you deal with people being rude to you all day as a mod here, but try to put things into perspective. These people are mostly KIDS who don't know how to use deodorant yet to say nothing of their social graces. So, next time see if it might not be worth one grey hair less to just let it roll off your back. For my own part I apologize for allowing MONTHS of pent-up frustration to blow up all over you. I'm sorry. Now, get a-crackin'! (whips keith) kidding. KIDDING!!! |

Touché, Master Herodotus. We've what, over 12 combined years of complaint after demand? At least we'll have stories to tell at the Mod Retirement Home. Axem.Baloney, I think at last we understand one another. Chances are you may not have even been purposefully banned. Like I said, I'll look into it personally, and see what I can find out for you. In the meantime, as a gesture of good faith on my part, and on Game Talk, I will accord you a very special honor while I'm conducting my investigation. Any complaints you may have you may post here, until you are either reinstated in Complaints or explained to why you will remain banned. I've never done that before. Give me a few days, and we'll see what's what. Fair enough? |

Hey, Keith, would you mind looking into something for me...Yes, this IS a bit of a shortcut past [complaints], but hear me out. It's a known fact that spamming helps clear the Post ID glitch, correct? Well, me and a few other people were doing just that, to help raise the post count and fix the glitch. After a misunderstanding by anothe forumgoer, followed by a complaint, myself and the others were IP banned in the forum (RPG Chat). Now, the situation has been explained, and everyone's been unbanned...except me (under the name Vyrwolf), for some reason. Could you see what's up, and maybe fix it? Thanks. [javo] |

Not to add fuel to the fire, but being a "system administrator" implies (at least to my professional knowledge) that you are, in fact, a college graduate and hereby an adult. Therefore as a college graduate/adult/system administrator, you would know the proper way to go about overcoming a problem and since this, according to you, has been this way for months, I would think, as an adult that the complaints forum would not be a very useful forum. I know that many years ago, before I was a mod, I never went to the complaints (back then it was the feedback) forum (granted, different times/different circumstances) just to report a problem and I sure as heck would not have been this upset if my name was banned from such a forum... So as an administrator of this site, I am inclined to believe you are far younger than the age of 18, though neither of us has any way to prove differently... |

Umm... no, I'm not a college graduate. I'm a high school dropout, actually. I'm 22. How can I prove it? Well, I really don't even feel inclined to. Yeah I usually go to complaints to report spam but I figured "why not use the complaints forum to... well... complain?" As for why I got so upset, poor customer service just straight-up pisses me off. After months of inquiries I still got nowhere. You obviously aren't an adult yourself or else you'd understand THAT. |

Power Trip? Nay. In my 6+ years moderating on this site I've been both a hero and a villain in the eyes of regs and mods alike, depending on who you asked and what day of the week it was. But I'd like to think that through the years my style has been tempered by wisdom...much of it attained through various conflicts around the site. I still have the ability to be very nasty and cruel, but it's been quite some time since someone has pushed me there. I'd much rather keep both Venom and Threnody under wraps whenever possible. But if you can do enough to wake either of them from the slumber I've laid upon them, then you're on your own...all bets are off. |

Heh, again, being from a business world, I would highly doubt you're a system administrator since you're a high school drop out. But like I said, neither you, nor I can prove that. You say you're 22, I think differently, but it's your actions in this forum and the things you say that make me think that you're the pimply faced nerd who only wants to act grown up. And to answer your question, I am 30 years old myself and have been a mod here for over six years as well (I have actually been a mod almost 2 months to the day longer than Keith) and though I would consider all mods to be "senior" mods now since we haven't hired mods in over two years (possibly a little longer), there are a half dozen or so mods who have been mods longer than I. Now while Keith would prefer to keep Threnody and Venom shelved, I take different routes with my forum goers depending on my mood and since I was laid off my job today (I knew it was coming but it wasn't suppose to happen until May), I'm not in a good mood...even IF I happen to have been looking for a different job prior to the announcement that the company I work for was closing... |

First of all, it is impossible that you have been banned for months, as I clean out the ban list quite regularly, so quit lying. Second, it does not help you AT ALL to come on here yelling. Third, you posted in Compliants just a couple of days ago asking to be unbanned from the Axem forum.....actually you posted a few days in a row. Fourth, you were asking about a ban in the Axem forum and I made a reply saying that Axem Over Flame was the only one who could unban you. I asked in the mod forum for the ban list to be cleaned up and was told that only Mike would be able to, and I doubt that he will when the mod of the forum is still around. Fifth, I have once again cleaned up the ban list in Complaints. Happier now? |

First, I WAS (and probably still am) banned from the Axem Forum for months, so I'll thank you to refrain from calling me a liar. As much as I love you I won't take that kind of disrespect. Second, I already stated the reason for my frustration AND the issue in that regard has been resolved amicably. Plus, I'm typing, not yelling. Thirdly. Yes, I did. And since it was starting to look like I was getting banned wherever I went for help I was getting infuriated. Fourthly, Overflame's effort seemed to have no effect whatsoever on my status. I appreciate your efforts to help but thereafter I was just left without results and pretty much in limbo. Sorry, but I really don't like that. Fifthly, all I can say is thank you. As of this writing I'm at home where I can post just fine (I think). But my work IP seems to be the one at issue. I don't know about happy, but I suppose tomorrow I'll be somewhat satisfied if I can log in. Now, I want to take a moment to apologize to you guys. It just occurred to me that I'm barking on you like I do to people at work. Please try not to take offense to it. I just find myself in a position where I have to be like that often if I want things to get done and, well, I guess today was just one of those days when I couldn't turn it off. You all are being so helpful and doing more than most of the others to get this resolved and all I can give in return is my meager appreciation and thanks. I wish it could be more. Ah, too bad. I guess I won't be buying anybody any drinks, then. So then, Herotodus, I gather you don't have a degree or training in any one field of interest? Anyway, I'm coming to realize that working to make someone else rich is a sucker's bet. Surely there must be something you love that you could make money at on your own. As for finding a company that you like, well I'd think that if you like it then others will as well. Getting a job in- say- a Fortune 500 company- would be ideal but the competition to get in as far as the damned MAILROOM is fierce. If you 're still single and with few expenses I guess you can afford to float around a bit. But if you're married with kids, rent/ morgage, a car and insurance etc then you'd better grab the next piece of straw that floats by, brothah. I really don't know what the job market is like in Iowa, but I can't imagine it's a good time to be out of work anywhere right now. So, what do you suppose is the sort of career that would make you happy? |

To be truthful, I think 30 is a little too old to not know what you want to do with your life. You know what helps when you're looking for something? Actually KNOWING what you're looking for. If you can afford it, maybe you should take some time off and think about where exactly you want to be. From there you can set a realistic goal and formulate your game plan. But really, look at this break as an opportunity to find your new direction. I wish I could do something to help, but I can only offer a compassionate ear. But, hey. I'm at your service. |

Indeed it only seems like yesterday in some ways. GT helped me escape all the stresses of life like nothing else. And Val.. Val was great. She was like a- a witch! She could do anything. I always aspired to be half the mod that she was. She was like Oprah. I don't even like Oprah, but we should totally poison her chicken pot pie and let Val take her place. And now that I'm done shamelessly kissing up to Val, who should be the new Uber Mod? Keith or kiwibaby? They both have major bonus points because their name starts with a "k" (and anything that starts with a "k" is funny!). 'Kamikaze!' Hahahahaha. Baloney, I hope not, because I have had a blue-colored light saber of my own for many years. But I am a man of honor and I only use it against those who talk at the movie theater and those who do NOT love Raymond. |

"Uber Mod" was DeWayne's self-styled title for whomever had the greatest mod empire. He moderated many forums, but I was always a step ahead of him, though he'll deny it profusely. At my zenith I moderated 9 forums concurrently, and in a little over 6 years I've moderated maybe 16 or 17 different forums, not counting the extra little things I did/do. But quantity, in my opinion, does not an Uber Mod make. I'd lke to think that someone, somewhere is better off for my having been here. I could never be any sort of successor to Mistress Val, though I thank Master BLUE for the endorsement. I simply want to be the best me I can be, and do my part to help the site I've grown to love over the years. |

"I think that was Wike that said that, DeWayne." Whoever it was, they put it in the forum description for feedback. Has any forum had its description proclaim YOU the uber mod? Didn't think so. "But you 'were' a spammer, at least on my forum." See, the thing is, as I remember it, I posted in your forum once: a poll, with the following subject "What do you think of the axems?" (meaning the ones from the game) and the following answers: "I like them" "They're ok" "I don't like them" "They just Power Ranger ripoffs". And, for some reason, that annoyed a bunch of the forum members and they basically stalked me throughout the site. Funny how memory works, huh? And, FYI, T¥o is still a mod here, but under a new name. Having fun figuring it out. |

You mean even you don't know what name TYO is under? It shouldn't be hard to figure out. Just follow the buzzards and see what forum they go to. I'll give you this, anyway, DeWayne. Most of the members in my forum were kids (as was in most forums) and were always getting into arguments over simple things. But that's why the site has mods, huh? Always had to keep the peace, though I can't 'imagine' why a poll such as 'that' would upset them.. I suppose I'll take your word for it, but you're still a pain in the rump. :) |

There's much more to the story Baloney...I am twice divorced...two kids, child support and such to go along with that. So because of that, there's no savings, so I can't afford not to have a job. I do not have a degree in anything. During my most recent marriage (been divorced for 2 years), I was going to college, but I had a horrible judge basically threaten me with my youngest daughter and tell me that if I wanted to see her, I had to quit school. I was going to school to become a high school history teacher (hence the name Herodotus), but in order to see my kids, I quit school. I've had quite a few jobs in my life. Coincidentally, I've had the mailroom job...that one was actually my favorite until my boss/best friend quit (I was his assistant) and I was basically promised the job long enough to finish the yearly budget, just to have my boss come down from Minneapolis and introduce me to some schmuck who was going to oversee our department when he had time from his main job (the idea was that I'd run it when he wasn't there, but not get a raise for it) AND I had to teach him how to do his job...that just happened to be around the time that my oldest daughter's mom and I split up and I moved back to where I'm originally from in Iowa...job market stinks around here. Want to know how bad it was? My last job (the one I got laid off of) was officially titled Sales Consultant...in actuality, I was a phone rep who took calls (not made calls, only received) from people who were interested in DirecTV (DirecTV isn't going out of business, just my call center). It was a very stressful job because the more sales you had, the more money you made and since I lose approximately 50% of my pay for child support and health insurance, I needed the commission to make ends meet. I kind of stumbled upon a DirecTV booth where I overheard a guy asking the sales rep there a question he didn't have an answer to, so I answered it and got to talking with him. I have to call him on Thursday because he might just have a job for me as a sales rep in his company, but instead of taking calls, people go out, knock on doors and set appointments for the sales reps (i.e. me) to go and make the actual sale...It'd be something that's only temporary until I can find something better. Who knows, I might even continue this part time if he'd let me once I found another job. Yeah, that's my life in a nutshell. I know what I WANT to do, but I don't have the education or the time to do it. It is really hard to go to school full time, work full time and spend time with your children...When I was doing it, a typical weekend visitation consisted of about 1 1/2 days out of 3 where I was actually home with my kids and not at work...then you need to account for homework and projects... You'd really have to know me...I've worked all sorts of jobs, office, management, factory, warehouse, sales...and like I said, my favorite job was in the mail room for Wells Fargo Bank...it was by far the best paying job as well outdoing the nearest in salary by over $5k...weird huh...and that wasn't even the lowest position in the company... |

LOL! Wow, you've got a full plate, boy! Yeah, commission work sucks. I was doing that while I went to school to study computer programming. I don't have kids though (I hope). Yeah, big companies like a bank are great places to work. They have so much money they can afford to give bebefits to even the grunts. Truthfully, I was looking to change jobs get a job as a teller. My current employer doesn't pay me nearly what I'm worth all because I don't have the right education (even though I have the skills) and everywhere else I go they want at least a bachelors. You know, if you like sales then have a party. I personally couldn't tollerate commission work. That's no way to make a living if you don't get off on it. But yeah, since you have the time right now start targetting all the banks and major firms in your area. The really old ones, not the upstarts like DTV. And avoid family-run businesses, too. I know a girl in Florida, she's a single mom. She got her degree online. I'm gona find out more about it and let you know, because that's what I'm thinking of doing. Do you have an email or AIM you can post here? Anyway, do your best from now until thursday. I'm rooting for ya. And be sure to have a pen handy so you can take down potential contacts while you're out looking. |

And don't forget about when you used to dress up as Barney for those kids birthday parties. Mention that too. |
