Ugh, I hate movie studios. They're sending us the print of the film on Wednesday, but the film cans are going to have those stupid padlocks on it, and they're going to e-mail us the combination to unlock it on Thursday at 9 A.M. They do that a lot for these sorts of films (they did it with Pirates 2 and 3 and Spider-man 3). I frickin' hate film studios. I think it's 2 hours and 6 minutes. Anyway, I can't wait. I know they're doing 8 and 10:30 premiers on Thursday night (also something I HATE when studios tell us to do that), but I'm going to a Dan Deacon concert, so I'm just going to come in after the 10:30 gets out and watch it on my own. Besides, premiers of these tend to suck anyway. I can't stand audiences. Actually, now that I think about it, I tend to have a hard time watching films at a movie theater anyway. It's hard for me to turn off that projectionist inside of me... My only question is this: Were there any cool trailers on it? |

Yeah, 2 hours six. And no one ever said the Hulk would be in it. The rumours were that General Ross from the Hulk and/or Nick Fury would appear in it Anyway, will be sitting in the theatre watching it in exactly 24 hours. |

I was pretty sure that the crossover between the films was going to be Tony Stark in Hulk (which has been confirmed). The thing about Nick Fury was that it was confirmed they shot it, but then when it was leaked and all the fans found out, they were thinking about cutting it out (which I kind of hope they did just because I hate those fans who have to know everything about the movie before it comes out. I mean, c'mon guys, let's at least have one or two surprises.) |

I am going to see it on Friday but its kind of funny. Maybe it's been the previews over and over and over on all the TV shows I watch between 8:00pm and 9:00 and also the many previews for the NBA playoffs its been showing but...I think the hypes dead for me. I kind of feel it will be like all the super hero movies (the part ones) OH man, I am a rich guy who loves life and loooves the ladies and spending money. I am awesome! OH no something horrible happened to me, I got to be resilient to get out of this situation. So I’m going to go a head and do that. OH awesome I am a big metal Man! OH hey I got out of that situation but now I am obsessed with what I did to get out of it. I think I will be a big metal man again. No wait, an Iron Man. OH yah, and I can fly. OH man being selfish sure was fun but not as fulfilling as helping others. Now that I have the ability to change the world I am looking at the big picture and also I love my girlfriend but OH MAN she was kidnapped by *insert bad guy* OH MAN! This sure is a tuff final end scene battle. I better take my mask off, or at least enough off to show everyone my face. Yup its me, Robert Downey Jr. Or Tony Stark who ever you feel it necessary to get you in the sequel. Well time for the bad guy to kick my ass have me down on the ground say something like "Time to die little Toy Man" and then I retort "No..IM IRON MAN" then doing something to blast him away in one shot. ALLRIGHT all is well with me and my girlfriend. Not the world though. My mission continues. Continues to Iron out the fabric and wrinkle crimes of society. Because I am Iron Man. So yah don’t queue the Iron Man song though that would be a bit to much of a cliché. end credits*Now do not get me wrong. That formula works and I am still going to see it. I guess I am just not as stoked as I was. Hey maybe I am wrong. |

I'm at work right now, and we got the cannisters with the film...but I can't break the lock... (sad face). To make things worse, we got Harold and Kumar as well. To make things even worse than that, when I put it together, all of the reels except the last one were backwards (tails first, which means the image is upside down and the sound is backwards), but they were labeled heads first (the way it's supposed to be). So, I put the film together, assuming the previous theater wasn't lying to me. So I'm watching it, and the first reel is fine. The second reel is backwards. FRICK!!! But it's the second reel, and now I have to take it apart just so that I can put it back together again. UUUUGH!! All the while, all I really wanted to do was put Iron Man together and watch it. This night sucks. Oh hey, I'm LameMovie! I oversimplify every movie ever. Blah blah blah. |

I liked the idea of Iron Man, sort of, when I first saw the trailer. But then again, I only thought it would be being kidnapped by terrorists, making the iron suit, and then beating everybody up right then and there. I don't even understand the hype. |

OK, I saw it I'd wager it's the best superhero movie to be released since Batman Begins. No joke. It was a fantastic movie and really well-handled. I loved it. |

The film is alright, the action scenes are only competent, they're not excellent or anything. But Iron Man got something the other super hero movies don't, Robert Downey Jr, that makes the movie spark when he is on screen with his dry humour. And Nick Fury is on the film, just sit and wait past the credits. |

It looks like it should be the best made film. I like that Marvel made their own studio. That's probably why we aren't seeing many DC movies outside of Batman. |

I didn't get Batman Begins honestly. I mean it was great really, only I don't see why it is great. Oh cool a completely different take on Batman. Its much much darker and by darker we mean the lighting because in actuality there isn't anything Darker about this batman at all. I'll see Iron Man tomarrow and if I'm wrong hey that sucks for me but also awesome because I am tired of every super hero movie released being the spiderman script with spidermans named crossed out and replaced by whatever character is suppose to be in there. I really do like Robert Downy Jr so I am excited for the Tony Stark aspect of the storyline. I cant deny the hype about that. |

Its much much darker and by darker we mean the lighting because in actuality there isn't anything Darker about this batman at all. Oh really? You coouldn't see any difference in tone between Batman Begins and say, Batman and Robin? At all? Not even a little bit darker? Wow. I loved Iron Man. It was awesome. The acting and visuals were so good. The smackdown at the end was slightly disappointing though. aqlleyesontheMa$t3rplease |

I've never been a fan of comic books, so I naturally hate the whole super hero franchise. ...is it a requirement that you have to be a comic book fan to like a superhero movie? I don't recall anything like that. I am tired of every super hero movie released being the spiderman script with spidermans named crossed out and replaced by whatever character is suppose to be in there ...so, in other words, you saw the Spider-Man movies, didn't like them, and decided every superhero movie must by extension be exactly the same. Which they aren't. |

I've actually found that most people who do like comics tend to enjoy superhero flicks less. Not that we don't enjoy them, but it's easier for us to nitpick. Sort of like how the people who are obsessed with Harry Potter books tend to not like the movies as much as someone who didn't read them. That said, I'm a big fan of Iron Man (and us Iron Man fans have had to endure a lot recently...), so I'll be looking forward to it. I'm going to watch it by myself in the theater after hours since A) I'm going to see Dan Deacon tonight and B) I hate seeing movies with an audience. |

Okay, so Iron Man is not "easily" the best, but it is the best. While I absolutely loved Batman Begins, I had some issues with it. One of the things I really loved about Iron Man was that it felt like a comic book. Batman Begins is certainly a close number 2, but I thought Iron Man was a better comic book movie. |

I just got back from seeing Iron Man and I have to say it is up there for my favorite super hero movie, though I am a huge fan of The Punisher movie...although not many people liked that. Iron man did a lot of things right and Robert Downey Jr. couldn't have done a better job. The movie definitely left room for a sequel and possibly other movies if you stayed for after the credits..I do not want it ruin it though. I can't wait to see the Hulk now...Ed Norton is one of my favorite actors...and to see him along side Robert Downey Jr.....that should be one hell of a movie. |

Of course they left room for a sequel. Favreau wanted to do a trilogy from the start. I hope he cameos in future movies as well. I trust him as a director, and I love him as an actor. Something I'm pumped about...WAR MACHINE!!! |

Well CapDac, yes. Thats pretty much exactly what I am saying. Thats why I am stoked for the Robert Downy JR. Aspect. I mean iron man getting the hang of his Suit. Yah, we all did see that in Spiderman one, and two, and then three again. Superman Returns, Batman Begins was probably the best about it since there was no humor in learning how to be a sociopathic vigilante. As for the Batman and Robin reference. I forgot about that entirely. Yes your right, I do apologize. It was much darker then Batman and Robin. Not always in lighting though. Batman and robin had some very dark lit scenes in order for the black lights to work. Or was that Forever? Also I agree with Sufjan. I thought as a comic book film that claimed to have tons of references from Batman Year one and other works of Batman, Batman Begins was Meh. The Waynes murder in Begins was just so dry. I mean granted kid actors these days suck but what a dull and boring scene. Bruce father has last words now? Wow thats way more traumatizing then instant death and confusion in a dark back alley by a random guy thats never caught. Bleh As a film though detached from comic books it was very good. Didn't like Katie Holmes character in the slightest and maybe some day they will release a copy with her scenes edited out. Like they did with the Phantom Menace and Jar Jar. Ok I am ranting. Sorry. Looking forward to Iron Man tonight. Love War Machine, would love to see that in a sequel. Terrence Howard is perfect casting for that. |

From what I gathered, John Favreau wanted to do a trilogy from the start and said that he was definitely planning on including War Machine in the future. I'm a bit of a War Machine fan, since I tend to absolutely love the lesser known characters (I want them to get their ass in gear for that Iron Fist movie! Also, a Question movie would be totally awesome. These aren't really small names to those of us who read comics, especially a LOT of comics, but to the overall public...) I am very excited about the future of Marvel movies. They have easily won the movie battle against DC (I know DC is owned by Warner Brothers or whatever, but you'd think that'd make it a little easier to make movies than Marvel before Marvel got their own studio). Marvel, please get to work on my Captain America movie, damn it!!! |

I am regaining confidence in the superhero movie genre. Except for Batman Begins, the last decade or so of superhero movies has been extremely mediocre. And yes, I'm including X-Men and Spider-Man. But Iron Man was just a totally awesome movie. And normally, I would have no interest in a Hulk movie at all, but Ed Norton's in it. And that man does not sign on for bad projects. Well, except for the Italian Job, but he didn't really have a choice in that. |

X-Men 1 and 2 were better than mediocre I thought. They weren't great, but they were better than mediocre. But I agree, this was easily the best Marvel film. They appear to have a great direction for the films. The thing to remember too is that they're trying to create a comic book world and a comic book feel to the movies. I think they're doing a great job so far. I will see Hulk (if I can for free at least) because of Ed Norton. Otherwise, I still think it looks pretty horrible, even if an improvement over the last film. I mean, it'll be well acted and all that, but it's still the Hulk, and the graphics still look awful. But I do also want to see Tony Stark in it. I love these seeds they're planting. |

Yeah, it was. It was also one of the first things that made Moore hate Hollywood. I'm not saying that design of the Hulk or the Abomination is bad, but c'mon...that CGI just looks SO awful. I mean, did you see the part where they're running through the street toward each other? While it was awesome in a "this is so goofy and ridiculous" way, the animation was just god awful. And in the new trailer where Tim Roth is standing up close with Hulk and says, "Is that all you got?" UGH! It looks SO bad. |
