While I kind of like Wolverine, and I love Hugh Jackman, that movie is going to be crap. I'm sick of Wolverine. We already had 3 Wolverine movies. As for Captain America, I'm pumped, but I'm not going to get too excited until they actually start working on it. They just announced a bunch of movies (am I the only one who thinks a Thor movie isn't going to work that well, even though I love Thor?) Ant-Man should be cool. I wonder though...I mean, I thought it'd be more interesting to do a Janet and Hank Pym movie for the two of them, I wonder what they'll do with Ant-Man. |

If I recall correctly, they're trying to set up the original Avengers line-up plus Cap in the Avengers movie they have planned - so Iron Man, Hulk, Ant-Man, Wasp, Thor and Cap. And Thor apparently is going to get an intro in Iron Man 2 before his own film. I do look forward to Thor, since it's combining the nature of the Norse mythology with the Marvel mythos, so it's all intertwined. If handled right, it'll be good. Cap, I'm pumped for. And I thought if they make and Ant-Man movie, Wasp would probably be in it anyway, in a major role. Why wouldn't she? Oh, and as for Wolverine...the last Wolverine movie we had didn't work for me. The first two were OK. This one's saving grace so far is Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. Every cloud has a silver lining. |

From what I hear, Ryan Reynolds is just a cameo role. Meh. I just feel like we already know the Wolerine story. It was explained in X-Men 2. Why are we revisiting that story? It reminds me of the Star Wars prequels; we already knew that story, but George Lucas had to shove it down our throats and they sucked. At least this has Hugh Jackman though... I mean, I think Thor will be an awesome movie, but I absolutely love Thor. I just think that the overall mainstream won't really be totally into a movie about a Norse god. It's one thing to accept a guy building a suit of armor, it's another to accept a god running around on earth as a doctor and then transforming into the mighty Thor. |

The public handled Ghost Rider okay, as far as premise went (it was criticized for many things, but that wasn't one of them) If the public can handle a motorcycle-riding grim reaper Nick Cage, they can handle Thor. I agrre that it might take people time to warm up to it, but if it's a quality movie, it should be fine. I don't know much about the Wolerine project, but if they're doing anything like they are with Magneto, it could be okay. With the whole Wolerine: Origin series to draw from, there's enough history to make a decent film. Of course, they'll probably screw it up. I didn't care for the X-Men movies much, but I'm willing to give them this last shot... Okay, two. Becasue Magneto better be awesome, or I'll just be mad. Looking soward to the Cap. America movie though. They could really do some cool stuff with that. |

They give us an awesome Marvel movie and then they reveal even more. I'm highly anticipating Iron Man 2, The Avengers, Captain America, Young Magneto and to a lesser extent Wolverine. |

Its a young Magneto, awww I wanted to see Ian McKellen as Magneto again. any truth behind the "Steve Rogers (captain America) will be played by Matthew Machonahay"? Its a rumor I am sure but how do you guys feel about that. Recent Machonahay id say its a terrible Idea. Last thing I want to see is a back water southern hick with a toothy smile and not much of anything else goof his way through a marvel film. But if Machonay channeled his talent from "Dazed and Confused" or even "Frailty" then I wouldn't disagree with that pick. Though I am also always up for an unknown talent waiting to be discovered. |

It shows Loki and Thor being the best of buds and then shows how that goes extremely sour (to say the least). That gives me a bit of hope. any truth behind the "Steve Rogers (captain America) will be played by Matthew Machonahay"? Its a rumor I am sure but how do you guys feel about that I have heard nothing about that, for which I am grateful. If that idiot touches Captain America I will gladly remove my own eyes with a kitchen fork. I cannot STAND McCounaghey |

I don't mind Matt McC, if only for Reign of Fire. However, I think that would one of the worst castings ever (not sure if it's worse than Tobey Maguire as Spidey or Nick Cage as Ghost Rider.) The Thor movie is definitely something I'm looking forward too. Thor is totally awesome. |

I cannot STAND McCounaghey I don't know who that is, but you just reminded me of a recent episode of Family Guy. Its a young Magneto, awww I wanted to see Ian McKellen as Magneto again. Actually McKellen will supposed still play the role. They're going to use the same technology they used to make him look younger in a flashback in X-Men 3. |

"Tobey Maguire as Spidey" Eh. That actually was great casting, in retrospect. I can't really imagine Peter Parker any other way, than as Tobey. lol |

Really? I find that in retrospect, I hate it even more and think it was an even worse casting decision. I don't hate Tobey Maguire, but I think he's only ever decent when he doesn't have tons of screen time. Put too much focus on him, and he gets REALLY annoying, REALLY quickly. That's what happened with Spider-man. It was one of the most poorly casted films. I mean, Willem Dafoe and JK Simmons were probably the only decently cast. And I mean, James Franco, Thomas Hayden Church, Topher Grace, and Alfred Melino are all good actors, but they were poorly cast. |

Actually, I thought that all the villains were cast really well, and Simmons, of course. The only ones who bugged me were Maguire and Dunst. Then again, the part of Parker was hardly written to perfection anyway. If any of the "actors" annoyed me to all get-out, it was the pity role Raimi tossed to his brother Ted. What the helI was the point of his character? |

I didn't think the villains, save Dafoe, were particularly well cast. I don't mean to say that none of them did a good job or aren't good actors, I just wasn't really digging Alfred Melino as Doc Ock, or Thomas Hayden Church as Sandman or Topher Grace as Eddie Brock. They're all great actors, but I didn't think they particularly fit their role very well. Part of it was the writing, part of it was the directing as well (I'm not a big Sam Raimi fan). |

Ah. Well put that way I get what you mean...Grace I guess I can agree with, but Molina and Church I still think were cast fantastically. And yeah, the writing was also a fault there, but they compensated tremendously well |

I think all three spidey flicks at Script issues really. Dafoe I really like as a villain. The other villains were so "misunderstood" I hate that in a villain and no actor can save the "misunderstood" villain sequence in my eyes. J.K. Simmons was the only character that reminded me of Spiderman comics. Unless you count the CGI web slinging as its own character. Anyways the point is if all actors could artfully portray there characters like J.K. Simmons portrayal of J Johna Jameson then there would never be any casting problems. I didn't think one time that "OH J.K. Read that line from the script real Johna Like" I thought "Wow that was perfect, did he ad lib that to be more J.J. Like?" he also gets bonus points for being one of the only characters for not having an uncontrollable weeping scene. What was with that in Spidey3? |

My biggest problem with the Spider-man films was that they focused TOO much on the awkward side of Peter Parker. I mean, I know that's a big part of him, but where's my quick quipping Spidey? One of my favorite things ever in a comic book was when Deadpool and Spider-man end up fighting and it's just the funniest fight ever, since they both make witty comments nonstop. I always thought that was an interesting part of Spider-man's character. And it's just as big a part of his character (seriously, any comic today with Spider-man in it proves just how essential it is) as his awkwardness. |

Yeah, as far as the character Peter Parker goes, as Peter Parker, they wrote him very well. As far as they wrote him as Spider-Man, they failed pretty bad (and yes, I'm aware of what I wrote above. I was generalising there). I also remember the Spider-Man and Deadpool fight. Great scene. |

Ant-Man and the Wasp are not what their names suggest. Both of them have the ability to grow and shrink in size. Also, Ant-Man can (with a helmet) communicate and command ants, and Wasp can deliver a nasty sting. Probably the best thing about them is the fact that Ant-Man created Ultron and (in the Ultimate universe) he was a wife-beater. Not pleasant, but be a decent aspect to play up in the film. To my knowledge, Edgar Wright was lined up to direct (he directed Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz). Dunno if he still is. |

I believe Edgar Wright is still attached to do it. I read a recent interview (it was conducted recently, not I read this recently), and he said he was still on and that he doesn't plan to make it as openly funny as you'd expect. I'm not surprised though, especially if it's a Hank and Janet story for a good portion of it. |
