I'd say Iron Man because people tend to not like getting seizures... Also, Speed Racer while it will unfortunately do well, looks ridiculous. I think it's a bit of a turn off for a lot of folks. |

Ironman will if people have any sense. Speedracer looks o.k. but Ironman was fantastic and will be hard to beat. |

Speed Racer will probably do well based on its special effects alone. But I think it's gonna scare a lot of people off by how damn weird it is. Speed Racer, and anime in general, is a bit too esoteric for a lot of average folks in Western culture. People can't really relate to the source material. On the other hand, Iron Man is an all-American hero, and everybody loves seeing Robert Downey, Jr. being sarcastic and awesome. I just can't imagine Speed Racer doing better than Iron Man. It's possible, but highly unlikely. |

Speed Racer isn't a food. Anyways, I think Speed Racer will do about the same as Ironman, since a lot of people grew up with Speed Racer. My mom watched it when she was young, I saw the show on Cartoon Network when they had it. It'll be more of a family film than what Ironman would offer. As well, with the adaptation of many comic heroes made into movies, they are eventually going to burn the population out on it. |

Honestly? Speed Racer; I can see alot of parents not allowing their kids to go to Ironman, due to 'teh vahlense' and the 'secksyoualized naychur'. |

"Speed Racer isn't a food." Um...good observation? Let me just point out that Iron Man got close to $100,000,000 on its opening weekend, which is just insane. Iron Man has the tenth highest opening weekend gross of all time. The thing all of the movies above it have in common, with the exception of one, is that they're all sequels. The fact that Iron Man, an established character, but not an established film series, did so well so quickly, is incredible. The only Wachowski Brothers movie to even come close to doing that well was the Matrix Reloaded, which got about $90,000,000 opening weekend. Their last movie, V For Vendetta, didn't even come close to making that much TOTAL, much less in its first week. I suppose it could help that this is their first non-R rated movie, but I just don't see it happening. Iron Man and Robert Downey Jr. have much higher name recognition in the American public than the Wachowski Brothers and Speed Racer. |

I think Iron Mans Snowballing Broken Records of amazment will hurt Speed Racer's opening. If Speed Racer opened say July or maybe Mid August I think it would do better but opening after a record breaker is rough. That an Iron Man seems to have been inspired by Iron Man Comics. Speed Racer seems to have been spired by drug over dose, Hot Wheels (including video games) and people with no respect for physics. Its as if the wachowsks whiped there butts with a speed racer script and said "heeeey, we should make this" |

Speed Racer should be glad it isn't opening in the late-June-early July slot. The Dark Knight would own it. alleyesontheMa$t3rplease |

Apparently most critics don't let Speed Racer--and think otherwise.. On the other hand--Iron Man has received mostly positive reviews. metacritic.com |

Speed Racer finally premiers, making a pretty pathetic $20,000,000 this weekend. Meanwhile, Iron Man makes more than twice that on its SECOND weekend, bringing its domestic gross to something like $175,000,000. Worldwide, I wouldn't be surprised if it's done close to $300,000,000. |

Iron Man's worldwide gross is, as of now, a little over $275,000,000. Not too shabby. |
