Cloverfield Question

SPOILER ALERT, yadda, yadda So, Marlene gets bitten by some spider-crab and then she starts bleeding, then some girl explodes. It was hard to keep track, but was that Marlene?

Have to say, I didn't find the film hard to follow at all. Enjoyable movie, just a shockingly bad ending. Well, not shockingly bad. Just one big cop out and a WTF? Think I'd notice a big bad monster behind me. Can't just sneak up in a large public place. |

I agree to that (the sneaking up part, not the enjoyable; I despised it.) But I will also say that other than never really being able to follow the action, the story is very easy to follow. Even if you can't keep up and see Marlene get pulled behind the curtain and explode, you can easily figure out that it was her. I mean, the remaining folks scream in shock and just keep freaking out about it for 5 minutes after. |

I was fairly disoriented at the time; names and locations eluded me a times in this movie... Still, thanks for indulging me. |
