I'm not out to destroy anyone's work or hinder their imagination in any capacity. Sometimes it is easier to show people how to do something rather than tell them. It's much easier to read and keep up with when it is all in one thread anyway. I can't really understand why anyone would do it any other way. I am feeling somewhat better, thanks for asking. ;o) |

Call it what ever pleases you. It was done as a separate post so that all the people that started 8 threads on one page about RP'ing, might, just might, see it, if it was not buried in one of their post. It was to thank the mod for doing a job that needed to be done. I don't care how many times anyone post here, 'I enjoy reading some of them', but if you're going to do a role playing post. Do it right. That's all DF said, that's all I said. What is this???? Waist of space maybe??? As far as wasting space. Click the little 'next button' at the bottom of the page, and see how many threads I've started in the past month and a half. You'll see my name a lot, but 99% of the time it's to try to answer someone question. Waist of space WasteHave a great day. |

It feels good to hear an Attaboy now and again, ya know? It makes the job worth doing if you know what I mean. People tend to complain about mods more than thanking them for their good work. No one knows you exist until you do something that they don't like, then people come out of the woodwork to complain. I don't like the suckup either ya know, but a little thank you now and again goes a long way. ;o) |

"the last time I 'sucked up' to anyone was when I was a jr. in high school" Sonny, I wasn't saying that you were a suckup, in fact I was saying the exact opposite. I can't picture you sucking up to anyone with the exception of the Missus anyway. *laughz* A genuine thank you is a rare and precious thing in the moderator game and I appreciate each and every one of them. Elagabalus dude, you can never go wrong with proper grammer and spelling. Maybe I am different, but I actually appreciate it when people correct me on my spelling. If I am unsure of the actual spelling, I will spell it out like it soounds. Sometimes i get it right, sometimes I am way off, especially with silent letters and all of that nonsense. And you are quite welcome. That's why I am still here after so many years. Thank you. ;o) |

Yea, I know. I don't gota problem with people corectin me.. Usually its a slip in the same word, dif spelling thing.. Waiste n waste.. Two, to, n too.. But n butt.. Haha But you been around for a while DF.. You seen me in me in all kinds a action from Morrowind to Oblivion.. Call me childish, when people correct my spelling I take it like "This person has an input, but he can't spell it out. Learn to spell correctly first.." Kinda givin e-low blows.. It only happens when somebody takes offense to what was said previously.. Otherwise nobody ever cares how anybody spells anything.. But point takin DF.. Raises hands and shakes head* We got no problems Chief!! |

Should have worded it different. Comment was meant to convey that I just try to say it as I see it.*grinz Raises hands and shakes head* We got no problems Chief!! Elagabalus, I was not trying to offend you in any way with the spelling corrections. After raising 5 kids and always making them mad as hell when they would ask me to read their home work and I would scribble on the paper everywhere they made a spelling mistake*laughz, I just forget sometimes where I'm at and just do it. Old habits are hard to break. So we're cool. As I said I enjoy reading some of the things you guys talk about. Keeps me young.*grinz. Billy, you're right about the better half. If I don't suck up to her, I don't eat.lol |

Elagabalus, don't take stuff like that to heart. No one was trying to insult you, believe me. Allow me to tell you a little story about corecting spellig and grammer. When I first got the FF IX forum there was this 12 y/o kid whose spelling and grammer were just terrible. I actually thought that english was this kid's second language to begin with. Yes, it was that bad. Anyhoo, the regs there worked with this kid correcting his mistakes and whatnot. We saw an immediate improvement in his postings, and in a fairly short time, he was making very few mistakes. As it turns out, the kid had autism(a very mild case, but still autism nonetheless) and the mother was working with his teachers and they just couldn't make him 'get it' as it were. However, with the coaching of his peers here at GT he began to 'get it' and his schoolwork showed it. He actually placed 3rd in his state finals in a spelling bee. His mom posted thanks you's all over the site about it. That kinda gives you the warm fuzzies, ya know. That is just one kid, but there have been many others that have had major communications improvements because of GT. It also helps people that have english as their second language. Long story short, no one was trying to inslut you, and sometimes you CAN learn something from your online peers, ya know. " Billy, you're right about the better half. If I don't suck up to her, I don't eat.lol" I hear ya bro, you are preaching to the choir as they say. I don't really suck up to mine anymore, I just stopped talking to her and it works out. She never gets mad at me for saying stupid shit anymore though. *laughz* I am kidding, but only to a point. *grinz* ;o) |
