Sorry, but there is no levitation in Cyrodiil. The powers that be don't allow it under penalty of death or some such nonsense.

Umbra has a Soul Trap spell on it, but it isn't very easy to get. You have to go to the Ayleid ruin, Vindasel, AND defeat Umbra to get the Sword. Vindasel is easy to find if you follow the Red Ring Road west from the village of Pell's Gate. Umbra the person is locked in at level 50, so at low levels, she can be a handfull and a half. Chiefsonny has a nice little strategy for beating her at very low levels that works. I'll see if I can find it and repost it or if he gets here first, he can tell you himself. ;o)

Not a prob. I just wish that I could find Sonny's strategy for whooping her up at low levels. He's posted it as a reply in a number of threads, but now I can't find it anywhere. He needs to post it as a tip where we can have easy access to it. Hopefully, he will see this and reply to it. ;o)

The way I get Umbra's sword is at the very beginning of the game, I start building up enough money (around 6,000 gold if I remember right)to buy the Akavari Sunderblade from Three Brothers Trade Goods in IC and Apotheosis from Rindir's Staffs in IC.

The Sunderbalde has Disintegrate armor and weapon 100 pts.

Apotheosis does 99pts damage with each strike. 33pts each Fire, Frost and Shock.

I try to get these items before level 7 and by level 5 if possible. It seems the lower your character the better. I've done it twice at level 5.

Go to the Ayleid ruin Vindasel and locate Umbra. Do not, I repeat do not talk to her. If you do she attacks first and you're cooked. Go up to her, and as quick as you can hit her 3-4 times with the Sunderblade first, this makes her weapon and armor useless. Then quickly attack her with Apotheosis. I've always been able to take her out with 3-4 quick hits. I've done this several times and it has always worked for me. Make sure you save before going in the ruin just in case.

I go after this blade early for its soul trap abilities, and keep it just about the entire game.
