okay so, im doing the quest in the theives guild where i have to steal one of the elder scrolls. as planned i sit down on the stool and speak to the monk guy through the bars and i find out the whole thing is an ambush and i have to steal the elder scroll and escape, so i go to where the marker tells me (middle of a big library) but the elder scroll is nowhere to be seen, so i thoroughly search every nook and cranny around me but i cant find it, so i go back up to chat with the gray fox but he tells me to go back down and retreive the scroll, even though it's not even there, and i am completely stumped. is this a glitch or am i just doing something wrong? :S any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks :)

SPOILERS Do not talk to the priest. You want them to think you are someone else 'Celia Camoran. You should be in sneak mode until you get the scroll. When you come to the seated monk, pull the lever next to him and then go back around to where you are facing him. Go in the library and sit down. Remember DON"T TALK. A priest will come up and give you the scroll. Leave the area by using the nearby stairways. Go in the Imperial Battlemages Chambers and use the fireplace to escape. If you want to keep the Boots of Springheel Jax, then don't use them to make the jump. They will break. If your acrobatics are high enough and your health good, you should survive the fall. Save first. Good luck. |
