I don't know whether that's over-analysis or truth, but either way, Tool definitely puts an enormous amount of layers into their songs. |

Lateralus is definitely my stand-out favourite of the TOOL albums, closely followed by Aenima. |

I have to say I'm more of an Aenima man myself But I love lateralus, standout songs being Disposition, Schism and Parabola. Lateralus would have to be one of the best bass albums I've heard, which is good since i play bass guitar =] |
