1) sorry should have been more percific- no one will know exactly who was the first man to America. its like asking who was the first man to reach Europe or Asia.

2)There is a theory, and i say theory, that native Americans migrated from Asia. If you look at early human expansion is starts in Africa, reaches Middle East, and then we split as some humans migrate up north to Europe and some go east to Asia. To get to North America, the only logical way would be across a Russian-Alaskan land bridge,formed by ice sheets. I cant see Africans or Europeans crossing the Atlantic in canoes. Native Americans look different to Asians yes, thats due to genetic mutations.

the first recorded man? well the closest i can find is the Spanish expedition to Florida in 1513. it was led by Juan Ponce de León, a Spanish conquistador. Who is said to have been trying to find the fountain of youth lol. Of course there could have been more before him, thats the earliest i can find. why do u ask?

idk, it was in 8th grade (2 years ago) that I found out Christopher Columbus did not set foot on the USA, so I wondered who did, and I never got an answer, why the question re-occured to me idk, but it was just curiosity
