Well, its me, Cherished Hoagie. It got hard to remember all my Sn's so I decided on one universal one. Anyways, onwards!
Here are a few ways to not lag.
1. When teleporting, don't leave your automap on unless absolutely neccesary. On my computer (it's higher end, but still) my FPS (frames per second) are 75 w/o automap on. When its on, it goes to 62, a noteable diffrence.
2. Play Diablo in windowed mode. This can be done by going to wherever you click on your Diablo II icon to play. Right click on it, Click on properties, and look for Target that has a line of text next to it. It should look something like this. C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe At the end of the code, add -w What this will do is run diablo in windowed mode and will stop lagging as much. After you add this in, it'll look like this. C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe -w
3. Run Diablo w/ no sound. Again, this greatly lowers lag. To do this, follow the instructions above, but this time, add -ns. It will look like this (if you also used -w) C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe -w -ns
4. While in the game, click esc and click options. From here go to Video Options. Once here set Lighting Quality to low. Turn Blended Shadows to off also. Lastly, turn Perspective off also.
With all this, Diablo Should run on even lower end computers. Thanks for your time, and dont forget to vote high so this can go on the Best Tips, so everyone can see it. Thanks.
