Okay, this has nothing to do with the game, so sue me. ;)
A lot of people (especially me, haha) have been asking about this special writing and message icons. Finally, after much thought, I've compiled it into this here to present to you readers. You..., yes you. (This is starting to sound kinda corny)
Oh and thanks to EVERYONE who helped and aided me to get this special thing-a-majigs.
Alright, here we go : MESSAGE ICONS
This is by far, one of the most fun things to do. You can automatically put special message icons (namely, a goatee face and a smiley face) for your chat posts.
All you need to do is put the word 'cool' and 'funny' for the goatee and smiley respectively.
There are, of course some rules :
NO capital lettersDon't put it as the title of the post. Put it into your message.Just one thing, if you're thinking of testing it out, ask a mod to help you delete the message (unless its something of importance) for you. This ensures that your spamming doesn't affect anyone.
CHARACTER MAPPING(special symbols)
Another fun thing to do. This can add the life to your messages and such. Or, you can use this for your HW (like Shar, ;)).
The first thing you need to do is go to the start menu on your desktop. Click on Run and then type in 'charmap' and click OK. This should bring up a treasure trove of special symbols to use at your disposal.
Experiment around to check which ones work on GameTalk if your going to use it here cuz some of them turn out funny.
Another alternative is to use your keyboard. The Alt+0___ trick. Make sure it's on Numlock. For the 4-digit numbers, go to firehotquotes.com and click on the corresponding topic. MOst of the codes should be there.
