binkw32.dll is just a .dll file, not a video file. It's a collection of information accessed by numerous things. What kind of processor and operating system do you have? |

I have a AMD Athlon XP 3200+ and Windows Xp. I know that that bink thingy is not a Video, but its a libary that has to do with Videos esspecially Binkvideos. |

It could also be that it's because you have an Athlon chip. AMD didn't exist when FF8 came out, so it may be that the assembly languages don't work out properly in your problem's case. A patch might exist for it, but make sure that, if you get one, it's specific for your processor. |

This is a common error with a downloaded (illegaly) version, I think. I read about it before, and it seems the CDs the images were made from had scratches. |
