I don't know... I might place Deling in Europe, and place Esthar as the USA, except for the fact that the USA isn't too interested in pulling back and hiding behind its own borders. lol

As the technological superpower, though, I might consider making Esthar into Japan; no doubt, they've got INSANE technology... lol...

Balamb, since I've relocated Japan, I might make into Australia, or some other island nation. It's on an island, and is pretty low-key, which Japan seems to not be.

Man, I remember being freaked out when I found those places LOL. Had been playing like 14 hours, and I'm in the dark at 5 in the morning and I land on the Island Closest to Hell. I was like O_O

Anyway, deep sea research lab and the islands were just what they were, imo, an underwater lab and weird ass islands lol.

haha i know just what you mean. It was the deep sea research lab that really freaked me out... it wasn't even on the map! for some reason, I sailed out into the huge ocean at random and, when i adjusted the camera, this thing jagged thing just popped outta nowhere. I jumped the first time I found it.... and every time after that, a little :)

Mir was a Russian space station that they recently decided to try and burn up in Earth's atmosphere. It was/is being replaced with the ISS (International Space Station), a multi-national venture to make a space station for scientific research and the like.
