need help finding info.

i'm somewhat of a real noob to these games, though i've played half life one and two. i can't figure out what some of the terms mean and i was woundering if some of you people could help me out with them, or point me in the direction to where i can find them out. but in anycase, i can't figure out what "mod" refers to or means for starters. or when playing counter strike, what is "pin no." or "latensy" sorry for my spelling. could anyone help me out?

mod is just short for Modification. Its something made by a third party that runs of the half life two engine and has a lot of hte same props and things like that. Garrys Mod is like a sandbox mod for half life. Theres a lot of other mods that have a storyline and action, Like Riot Act or Minerva. Theyre fun, and are set in the half life universe. as for the cs stuff, i donno. |
