I'm pretty well ok, thanks ! A New Year has started, and like someone else has already stated, we'll hope that it will be a better one than last !

I had a lot of assignment work to do over the holidays but thank god its over and done with..or almost. We shall now be looking forward to easter....becasue its coming ridiculously early his year !

Work is allright as well...we've been having a lot of tasks to do so its not at all dull ! anyway, i hope i'll talk to you later !

Well, everything over here is just plain boring. Terrible weather (windy), and I'm always waking up later on during the day.

What would SERIOUSLY make my day better is the letter from the social coming through.

Hey all! Just dropped by to say hello! We've had strange weather this season - first cold and snowy, then HOT (like summer) and it all melted. Then colder and some more snow. And now it's supposed to be frigid tomorrow! At least it's a long weekend - Monday is Martin Luther King day! And tomorrow (Sunday) we have the final football playoff games to watch! YAY!!! HOpe to see more of everyone here this year!

Anyway, a reason on why I am waiting for a letter from the social is so that they can confirm that money is directly getting sent to me. I know it sounds like a stupid reason an all... but, trying to open a bank account these days is tricky stuff, and without a letter from the social to confirm that the letter is proof that I get money, I cannot open a bank account at all.

...But it doesn't matter really, because I've already gotten a letter addressed to me confirming that the money I get is proof. Sadly, since a illness came over here not to long ago, it was impossible for me to get my mum to take me down to the bank and demanding them to allow me to open one. But since my mum is now getting a little better, I am hoping that we'll be able to go down to the bank at least Monday.

Well, yeah, it obviously sucks that while you live in the Highlands, all you get is real cold weather... and, real high winds.

Hi Andrew! Well, I hope you finally got your bank account opened. Odd... here in the US - as long as you have a few dollars to deposit, they'll let you open an account - no problems! Anyway - good luck in your endeavor!

Funny enough, while it took quite a while deciding on a day on to go down to the bank, minute we went down on Monday, we were to confirm it right away! Then again, the application form that we had got was already filled at home... so it probably wouldn't really matter. Now, all I need to do is wait for a couple of days for the bank card and pin number to come through the post in a letter.

Well, what could seriously bring this forum from the depths of extinction? prehaps some daily quotes could?

You're Welcome! And it sounds like you have everything under control. I expect by now (after seeing the date you last replied) that you've received your bank card by now! Hope so!

I expect that some quotes certainly would help! Why not give it a try? I'll try to post one now and then, when I see there aren't any. And you can too! Then it's not all on one of us to do it!
