I like listening to music on my ipod. Calms me down if I'm mad. And I'm generally most relaxed in my room.

If the baby is awake.... playing with him. There is something peaceful about playing with an inquisitive child.

If he is asleep.... reading my bible; or crocheting. I get comfort from the prayer shawls that I crochet, and the doilies, and sweaters, and caps, and toys.... heck! Anything I make. lol

My heart maybe broken but even with that you can find peace at the line of the land and sea the beach go there

I find peace in knowing that child predators are being watched by undercover cops.....

Mizz Mew, I agree that an inquisitive child can do wonders for your perspective on life.

I find my best time is spent with family or doing something outdoors, hiking, hunting, canoeing ect. Its like a recharge.

I find peace while fishing. Also when going for a walk in a forest or some other kind of nature trail.

It isn't always true of these places/situations...it's all dependent on many factors, but I find peace:

In my lady's arms

On the porch of my cabin out in the woods

Fishing

Walking on the dirt road near my cabin, or on the trails near it

Petting my kitties

Hearing how well my little sister is doing in college

Looking out over the mountains from the Blue Ridge Parkway

Talking with or being with great friends from my past

Listening to music

Going to the beach at night (specifically East coast Florida)

Inner peace can be found lying on the sofa with a 5-kilo cat quasi-sleeping on your stomach and purring.

Well, at least that's how it is for me.

Either by listening to music, losing myself in a book or a dvd, plodding my way through the latest Football Manager game. But as soon as the music stops or the book gets put down, or the dvd ends or the PC gets switched off the negative thoughts soon appear.

Damn, I can't think of when I'm not at peace.
