The military defends your, you being American, freedom and way of life.

But what does this mean?

It means by being born in America, you are most likely comfortable, well fed, and able to lounge at a computer for hours a day.

Because of the military.

Without the ability to defend ourselves, we would be in no different a position than the starving children you support.

They cannot defend themselves, thus they are taken avantage of and thier resources are taken.

Simply by being born in a country with a military like the United States has, you are given food, shelter, and clothing.

It's the luck of the draw. Be grateful you weren't born starving in Ethiopia. Be grateful your military supports you.

Well to be honest why do we even have any army ( which I would say all the time before 9/11 ) when all we have is fat slabs and death in a tasty bottle.

persoanlly i'm going to be joining the marines and it makes me sad to see people say something like the military is over rated. back in the day everyone wanted to go fight for the freedom of people they couldn't even communicate with. now people say well its not my problem but then send their money to ethiopia which is a lot richer of a country then they make it seem.
