Some people get off on hurting people/creatures who are weaker. Some people lose their temper and then feel bad afterward. Some people just don't care.

All of it is from a lack of self control or a nasty selfishness I think.

Moral dilemma: dogs abuse each other in the wild to ascertain dominance. BUT we're not necessarily talking about sweet, domesticated ones.

I think why people abuse animals is one of two things.

1. They're slightly retarded.

2. They think animals don't have "feelings".

3. They're fully retarded.

People who abuse are sad.

They hate their life, and in order to feel some sort of control, they hurt people or animals, to feel that they are in control.

They usually start out hurting animals, but eventually work their way up to children, then women.

You never see one of these people abusing a 6' 2" Marine, or a Kick Boxer. They prey on the weak, and take advantage of the situation.

I just don't get how it feels better to hurt someone/something way weaker than you.

I couldn't begin to understand that type of mentality either.

People who abuse animals usaully do it for the following:

1., Money/competition- Some people make dogs fight as a form of gambling. Others do this because they get to train animals for illegal competition.

2., Psychological needs- Some people who mutilate/kill/torture animals for no reason are usually outcasts, mentally ill, or sociopathic (technically, this counts as "metally ill") who either do it to enact out violent urges they know they couldn't get away with if committed on another human being. Some do it because of a superiority/inferiority complex (As in, some do it because they like proving they're superior to something, or they do it because they feel inferior to other people and must take out anger/frustration on defensless organisms), to feel like they are superior or have control over another organism they can deem "inferior". Mentally unstable social outcasts also do this to vent feelings of anger.

Many serial killers have been found to have been animal abusers as children. Animal abuse is seen as a sign of depravity and sociopathic behavior.

most of what was said above is true. one reason why Tek cannot comprehend this is because he is narrow-minded. I do not mean this as an insult.

Good and Evil. Think of Star Wars. Darth Vader is Evil, and Luke is Good. but in darth vaders mind, isnt luke evil, for trying to spoil his plans?

you need to look at a broader range of views to comprehend the need for abuse. Often, if someone is feeling stressful, they like to watch others suffer, to try and make themselves feel better.

other people can feel life ebb away. they like this feeling, because no one ever told them that this was wrong, or it is an example of perverseness.

there are many other reasons, but i am quite tired at the moment and will post more later.

1. They do things by instict.

2. We onced live side by side them until God seperated them from us along with many other actions that led us to this society. The end result is us slaulghtering them.

3. The same people who defend animal rights are monsters. We had animal rights before we had womens rights and even before that black rights.

4. We need a cheap and efficient source of protien and the morons ( this means Joe Average DADDY or in some cases thanks to divorce MOMMY ) will most likely break open a big slab of meat. They will even buy Mc Donalds and Burger King along with KFC.

Personally I don't mind eating fish. Fish eat each other everyday. Heck even today people still eat the manimals of Fish which is Whale and Sea Lion. I say to myself I wonder how baby seal tastes.......hmmmmm Baby Seal.....( homer slobber)

5. In various Religions owning a pet is forbbiden. In China you can pratically eat almost any meat you can get your hands on.

In USA We even eat Squrells, Pigeons, and other woodland critters. You could practically shoot a rabbit in central park strip it's skin off for it's fur and cook the body.

Yes killing of animals is cruel but to be honest right now a cow, horse, pig, and chickens along with the cheapeast of meats in the USA Turkeys is being cut up by the millions and sold and eaten everyday.

Hey guess what while it is proven your body needs very little to live the problem is that hey it never seems to get what it really needs from regular ( cheap ) food sources. It is not like if I can eat fish everyday or even veal when I want to. It is very hard to find good protiene.

Even pandas are great sources of protienes along with Tigers. Find an alternative to livestock protiene and convince infinitive brainwashed people that eating meat is dead wrong and animals are eqaul to us.

Remember they are there for us to survive. Only man can have all the meats on a sliver platter including it's own kind.
