As for Gay Pride day: I don't really care. I'm not homophobic, I support gay rights, but I think the whole "Day of Silence" idea is retarded.

To explain further: Truly Homophobic people want homosexuals to be in the closet as a second best to eradication. If you go around silent hte whole day, then you are merely doing what they want to do.

However, if you had a "Day of Unnecessary Yelling and Swearing", I would not only find it amusing, but may actually take part in it.

As for the patriot act: yes, everybody except extremely hardcore neocons, facists, or #85 was freaked out by it. I normally like discussing it, but there are way too many 16 year old girls and 13 year old boys on the internet right now making the arguments against the act hard to take seriously.

What I want to know is where all the new "rebels" against the Bush "regime" were almost a decade ago, when bashing the president was considered "Uncool" and when they were actually drafting the act itself. I love bush bashing, but so many idiots and noobs have made it into a cultural rallying point. A superficial cause they can all claim to rally behind, making the more intelligent bashers look bad. Where were the protests? where were hteir pre-pubescent cries of retalliation back then? They need to shut up and start a riot already. A meek and quiet generation, indeed.

Right now, a traffic cop can put you away for life and your family need not ever be told where you spend the rest of your life. Find out how that works. Also, since 1992 the US Constitution in it's entirety is legally null and void. Find out how and why that happened, and who did it. Base your vote at least partially upon what you find out.
