well for starters, you can capture 5 of each monsters in the world and gain 99 Dark Matter as a reward, you can get Dark Matter from some Arena Monsters, they'll drop them sometimes or constantly fight Dark Yojimbo (depending on your version of game).

240, What are you doing? customizing "Break Damage Limit" to weapons you will need 60 each time, or do you have the PAL version ? and your after creating Ribbons to Armours "99" each time for those :P

Anyhow i will Xplain..

Basically what darryl said, if you have INT///PAL version only, that has the Dark Aeons and Xtras that the NTSC version didn't, You can customize "Ribbon" to an Armour but as i say you would need 99 Dark Matters. ( Ribbon helps protect your characters from almost all negative status effects with some exceptions ) Comes in handy, especially against the Dark Aeons and Penance.

To get Dark Matters, As said , depending on which version you have, So you will have to bear with me on this, I have the Pal version so these locations for finding them may NOT be the same if you have the NTSC American version, and you most definately wont have the Dark Aeons in Ntsc version to drop them. Because we have the . I read once that Square made it easier for us players with the Pal version to get Dark Matters. because we could customize Ribbon..

Anyhow, One way to get "99" in one go, Is once you unlock "Ultima Buster" in the Monster Arena sidequest the Monster Arena owner, will reward you with 99 Dark Matters., but this can only be done once.. You could battle some of the weaker monsters in the Arena, Any of the Arena Creations have a very slim chance of dropping one Dark Matter after a fight. you could fight "Hornet" or Sleep Sprout" who are pretty easy to kill,and they may drop 2 for an overkill..

Dark Matter is also a common drop for the Dark Aeons and Penance fights, plus they can also drop Armour with Ribbon ability and Weapons with the Break Damage Limit already attached. I wont go into to much detail, but fighting Dark Yojimbo there is a little trick to amass these Dark Matters, plus there's a possibility that he would drop an armor with Ribbon...Nemesis the final Boss in the Arena also may drop a weapon with the BDL or an Armour with Break HP Limit.. Dont forget. All your Celestial Weapons once powered up, has the Break Damage Limit..

In the PAL version these are the only ways to obtain Dark Matter:

1. Create Ultima Buster by capturing 5 of each fiend in every area to recieve 99 Dark Matters.

2. Bribe a Land Worm for 2,000,000 for 2 (I know, too expensive)

3. This is the way I decided to follow. Fight One Eye in the Monster Arena over and over again. You will get 2 Dark Matter on a rough average of 33.333% (once every 3 - 7 fights) but you will also earn LOADS of Gil from the weapons and armour he drops (as explained in my Easy Gil Top Tip).

4: If you prefere a bit more of a challenge, have at least one Ribbon and good stats, you can also get Dark Matter by fighting the Dark Aeons, mainly Dark Yojimbo. You must kill Dark Yojimbo 5 times in a row without loading a saved game to actually defeat him. If you keep saving and loading your game after every 4th fight you can earn tons of Dark Matter (with some patience)as for an Overkill Dark Yojimbo Drops 2 Dark Matter... On top of this he drops the following items...

Armour - 3/4 slots --- 1/2 abilities attached --- CurseProof, Break HP, Ribbon

Weapon - 3/4 slots --- 1/2 abilities attached --- Conter Attack, Magic Counter, Overdrive AP, Break Damage Limit.

Which if you don't need, you can sell for a nice amount.
