~*~SPOLIERS!!~*~ You sure your a fan of Silent Hill 2? There's some deep thinkin about to take place... Alright. This is something that's been buggin me for a while.

Think back to the days of Silent Hill 2.. James Sunderland.. dead wife.. and a hell-load of crazy people.

Here's my problem. Maybe I just thought way too deeply into the game.. BUT, do you think that the other characters were perhaps.. not real? Maybe even James' multiple personalities? Seriously don't jump to saying NO right away.

You can get really deep into it.. BUT to sum it up.. Angela was his suicidal part, Eddie was his crazy part, Laura was his innocent child-like "let's just forget this happened and go home" part.. and Maria, well, (Ignore the fact that X-box gives you a side story with her) was just Mary.. well, his guilt of killing Mary, which is why he had to see Maria die over and over again?

I've tortured my brain trying to think this through so much.. but it makes alot of sense. If you pay careful attention to what all of the characters say.. like how, Angela is always telling him that he disgusts her (James disgusts himself for doing what he did), Laura repeatedly says that he's "Lying!" And that he "Never really loved Mary.." And that they should just forget about it and go home.. like in the hotel after he sees the tape, Laura just happens to walk in then and he admits to HER that he killed Mary.. like he had finally admitted it to himself.. and she hates him for it. Just like he would hate himself.

There are A LOT more explanations I could give but I'm scared this is getting too long for whoever reads this.. think about Maria especially.. I believe that she's just a memory of Mary and there only to torture James by dieing repeatedly.
