Finally, here is the Sageveiw that you have all been anticipating G-R-E-A-T-L-Y (or not). Tis a review on that game we like to call Lair, impressive name eh? I will tell you if this game is worth it, where to find it (I hope I don’t have to tell you tat) and if this game REALLY is that bad.
Graphics/Artstyle: 9/10
Ok, this games graphics are hands down some of the best out there. The environment look VERY snazzy and the dragons look excellent. The art style is a middle aged one... that’s all I gotta say about that. But the technologies in the game seem to blend into the game seamlessly. The steam machine for example, that blends into the environment making me actually believe that that technology actually existed back then.
Gameplay: 9/10
Another brain buster! The gameplay in this was actually very easy to understand and all that Jazz. It took me only the second mission to finally get the hang of it (the beginning of the second mission too...). So yeah... all you Wii peoples out there... THIS is the reason you’d like a PS3, since the controls feel VERY similar to a game. The only times that this game seems bad is when the frame rate drops down, but I barely noticed that. The other thing is the Manta animations from the distance... think helicopter in Rain God Mesa (that’s right, I said Motorstorm....).
Story 9.5/10
One way to describe it... Epic, Epic, Epic, Epic and Epic... I won’t ruin it for you. So play it yerself... the only reason this didn’t get a ten was because it was TOO SHORT...
Got it memerized...
Sound 9/10
They sound great, Dragon sounds, falling down sounds, exploding sounds... and other sounds too. They are some of the best you’ll hear...
The acting in the cut scenes are very good... except when in gameplay. Then I would plug my ears whenever Rohn starts “talking”
But it’s not those two that basically make this game great, its the MUSIC. If you got a Playstation 3, you can download some music onto the harddrive from the game lair.
Overall 9.1/10
This is a great game, you should BUY IT! I think I wouldn’t mind playing Two Worlds now... since that got a low score too...
So yea, I’m not a raving fanboy, I’m just defending a good game. If you say otherwise, I’ll just assume you’ve never played the game and say...
“You can take your professional review and shove it up YOUR @SS!”
