My buddy bought one and I live with him, and to top it off we got it within the first few months, backwards compatible and everything. The Blu-ray would probably be the biggest seller for me, but the only Blu-ray movie we have is Spider-Man 3. And we don't have an HDTV.

I want to combine "blu-ray" and "good games" options.

I've followed Sony since the original PlayStation came out.

Ratchet and Clank, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Team ICO, Sony's in-house development studios. Tekken, Metal Gear Solid...

Not to mention Sony's Playstation consoles have always catered to my gaming preferences, the PS3 would be no different.

That and it's a ridiculously capable media machine, has blu-ray, does quite a bit more than my computer can do strangely...it's just an all around great product. Had to get it.

umm i hate xbox i dont lik the wii very much but thats better than xbox great games coming out this year lik killzone 2 mgs4 haze kingdom hearts 3 i think.... resistance 2 a new jak and daxter is coming out and microsoft is so expensive its not even funny

I hate Microsoft too. American companies can't make jack. The Japanese are much better and more reliable.

Japan America so I give my money to Sony.
