You can't solve this, it's up to Sony. The slow motion problem you are refering too is a frame rate issue that can only be fixed with the offical Sony firmware updates. Annoying, isn't it? |

No it's not all of them thankfully. My GTA:SA, vice city, FF10 etc to name a few work well with as far as i see no problem, while the worst ps2 game in my libary is Himtan: contracts where the framerate does slow down so much the sound goes out of sync with the cinematic visuals. Then you have those will just don't play at all. On the Sony website (SCEA i think) you can see all the compatible and non compatible titles which can work for the different versions of Playstation3. Also there are different versions of the same game in the same region this is shown with the text at the bottom on the side of each case (e.g. SLES53534) |

You guys are lucky. UK PS3s don't play PS2 games AT ALL! |

Okay, so to solve this problem, I have to update my PS3 or something? That's really dumb. I paid $500 freaking dollars for this thing; I shouldn't have to do that. I think I'm up for chewing out their helpline. |

Run the System Update. If that doesn't fix it, or you're already on the latest firmware, there's nothing you can do sadly. |
