PSP is for people who know how to use technology to it's maximum. DS is orientated around young and old people, easy to use. Im a full on Nintendo fanboy and I prefer PSP personally if you know how to hack it, It's games are lacking though if you count the 100000's of SNES, Genesis, NES, Gameboy, Atari, GBC, GBA, PS1, N64 and all the other emulator games then the PSP is one mighty machine. |

I hate fanboys so much especially people like Super Mario Bros. who go around like DA DS RULES AND DA PSP IS STUPID or DA PSP IS SO MUCH BETTER DAN DS CAUSE IT IS BETTER instead of forming intellegeint thoughts and arguments fan boys go around and scream out that their system is better without backing it up |

super mario bro, the psp has ad -hoc(where you connect to a psp next to you) and online. it is in fact much better than the DS online, with 32 persons and even voice chat |

See? People who own PSPs are smart. They know technology, they know how to hack systems...etc. GO DS!!! I think the DS is WAAAAYYYYYYY better and MUUUCCCHHH more afordable!!!!!!! the ds can wirelessly connect to any other ds AND to the internet. i dont believe the psp can don dat... YAY!!! GO NINTENDO!!!!!!!!!!!!! On the other hand, people who own the DS are immature, unintelligent childish kids who do not know a thing about technology. The only thing they what to do is to pick up a console and start jamming its buttons. --- So technically, DS = fails. |

Yeah at the complete fanboy noob Super Mario Bros, the PSP can connect wirelessly to other PSP's and yes it does have online play. Crash Bandicoot 1-3 on the PSP is a good enough reason to buy it, if you can hack it and put custom firmware which is fairly simple if you have a basic understanding of computers |

Roms are not part of the PSP library, and if you need programming and hacking knowledge in order to have a decent number of games, it fails. Many of my friends have PSPs and are not programmers. They are continually disappointed at the lack of software, even with the newest FF game coming out. Now I am not sure what my personal opinion on the system is, and I have not been entirely displeased with it the few times I've tried a friends system, but I've heard little else other than complaints from my friends and as such it has confirmed my suspicion that even if it is good hardware it does not have enough software to back it up. Now I am very middle of the road with the DS, but it's success over the PSP is probably deserved. |

Exqquuuuze me but i own a DS and im not some unintelligent immature loser. i know plenty of technology things and we have a ps3 also. Not every DS owner is what you say, besides its stereotyping. |

My biggest problem with the DS and nintendo in general is that it seems like they want to get every single last mario game that they can think of out there I've lost all respect that I had for mario and all other mario charectars |

Not every DS owner is what you say, besides its stereotyping You're exactly right r0ckon1. I own a DS as well and I don't recall being some unintelligent and immature child. You're basically saying "If you own a DS, your intelligence is inferior to one that owns a PSP." Judging someone's intelligence based on what handheld gaming system they own is just an immature thing to do. You have the right to express your opinion, we all do. However, if a few DS owners type something that really annoys the heck out of you, don't expect every other DS owner to be the same. There's been some previous PSP owners on this board in the past that would type some things that I thought was completely uncalled for, but I don't judge every PSP owner to be the same. Heck, i'm cool with alot of PSP owners, and I have respect for them and other DS owners because we all have the right to choose which ever handheld we want. |

DS owners are typpicly youger then a psp owner, qhich makes them typically less smart. can you show me some proof to back that up? considering the ds is trying to break in more casual gamers (most of which are adults) it would be the opposite now wouldn't it? |

sigh... it seems that PSP owners are forgetting a few things... namely the DS' astounding innovation and library of original games, compared to the PSP which..... well, its like a portable PS2, lack of originality. Don't get me wrong, I think the PSP has very interesting things that make it a great handheld, as "the wishing well" clearly demonstrated. However i must say that if you have to hack games from other systems just to enjoy your own system... that's a little sad. Now, onto the sales dispute... While I don't think either side has won this "war", I do find that when I'm at work (GameStop), people of all ages and gaming abilities (that's people new to gaming and gaming veterans) find the DS a MUCH more desirable system to the PSP. Even Sony fanboys trade in their PSP's after a few months. Around the holiday season we NEVER had DS's because as soon as a shipment came in they were gone faster than the Wiis. Insert Sony fanboy's predictable comeback here: "People only buy DS's cause they're cheaper". If this is you, I've dealt with FAR too many of you back in the old days of this forum (remember good old ThePrimeHunter?) DS) and don't care to argue you again. I can't judge the Sony fanboys nowadays but I will say the ones back in my time were ignorant pushovers. C'mon, someone try and present me with a reasonable argument. I welcome a worthy Sony adversary. |

DS owners are typpicly youger then a psp owner, qhich makes them typically less smart. Even though you said/typed "typically", there's really no way you can prove that statement, unless you could get the age of every DS owner and every PSP owner and put together a chart, but that would take way too much time lol. As I said before I think it's wrong to judge someone's intelligence based off a handheld system, even though it's basically just an opinion |

First of all, not everybody sits there and figures out how to hack things, etc. Also, I bought a DS so I could play the DS GAMES!!!! Not the like, Atari, or Playstation 1 games or whatever... dear god, if I wanted to play those games so badly I'd just buy the off of E-Bay for like, 10 bucks. I've heard from countless people that the PSP doesn't have very fun games. If it doesn't have very fun games... then why would you waste all that money on it? "Oh well it can play music!" So does an Mp3 player. "I can watch movies on MY PSP!" Oh wow! There's something else that does that too, oh what's it called.... OH! Yeah! A TV! Also, there's a reason why the DS's sales are continuing to climb every higher and the PSP's sales are at an all-time low. |

actually DS games are a lot more fun than PSP's coz PSP games were mostly port games... and the DS games aren't boring or terrible or made fot 7 years old child only. some DS games are frustratingly hard.. or make your brain really work. not like the psp's that juz make you poke its buttons then ta-daa, you win the game |
