Curfew was invented for a good reason. In rural areas, it was to keep children from getting lost. In urban areas, it was because the pedophiles roam during the night. In areas near the forest, the curfew existed as a simple defense against the myriad of nasty creatures. But when one does not carry a watch and is too young to tell time by estimation without sunlight, the consequences can be disastrous. Especially to a young eight-year old girl by the name of Joy. The odds on her getting out alone were exceptionally slim, though, as she had wandered into the grasp of four Kyarndril; in no way, shape, or form are these friendly creatures. On any other day, Joy would look like the average young princess wannabe. Pink dress, pink tights, pink skirt, pink shoes, for some odd reason even her hair was a naturally pink color. She had the natural preppy attitude that would make most think she was a bit younger, but managed to keep up with the tough survival code. Now, though, she was stained with mud and soaked thoroughly; she also faces the very real possibility of being a meal. Lucky for her, the Kyarndril are busy circling her while trying to sort out who gets to eat her. Hunting in packs is never common with these creatures, as the entire body must be devoured in order to gain the form as one that can be shifted into. Kyarndril can shapeshift into any creature that they eat, although will always keep the trademark spike-lined twin tongues. It must be noted, though, that a Kyarndril can only aquire a form in its standard body; it is not unheard of, however, for them to feed in other bodies. A Kyarndril that eats any form of parasite can become devastating to any living being. "Oh, why d-d-didn't I li-listen to Mother ab-b-bout the forest? S-s-somebody h-help!" |

((*decides to be lazy like Vyr and just posts up a picture of Nico* http://tinyurl.com/2w8u87)) In the event where he had nothing to do, Nicolae decides to travel to places outside his home in the Hoseki Forest, a place to do battle where his traumatic memories would be forgotten and the only feeling left is...he'd rather feel emptiness rather than sadness. This was his escape after all. Even so, the overbearing blame that Sy puts him under, well, that story is left for later. His hand felt the rough texture of cold bark, signaling to him that he wandered into the forest. To those who meet him, they feel a cold, icy grip of a nameless fear, an aura that he emits naturally without cause, one that he has trained and honed to develop a lonely existence for himself, where no one would come to him so he would keep to himself. He was a Sidaemun, a class of creatures who appear in the night, doing the bidding of the Abyssal King. Now the curse that would bar him from the light is broken and he can do as he please in both night and day. Though the aura itself hasn’t diminished…But now, unfortunately, that aura currently weakened by a small black Labrador on his head that would breathe with his small tongue sticking out, wagging his tail happily on his head. A nice Valentine’s gift from Sy, curse her, now every single person in existence comes up to him and squeals “what a cute puppy!” Though he couldn’t bring himself to get rid of the damn thing, it barks whenever he runs into an enemy. He is blind, of course, but he had other ways of fighting, such as the Reaper’s Eyes… He heard a girl scream, and ran toward the source of it, with Lilia, the dog’s name, barking madly. He could see large white outlines circling a squirming light, pulsing quickly. Though from one look, one can say he had no heart, but he doesn’t delight in blood shed, even if he’s here to stop it. He pulled out two purple crystal spheres and cracked them. A purple mist spewed from the crystals and formed itself into a small dagger. He threw one at the monster’s feet. Whether it hits or not, a red circle formed around the dagger and from the ground tall red sharp crystals shot out, traveling in 90 degree angles to surround the girl in a red box. He hopes that the monsters would either be frightened or, in their stupidity, run toward them and realize that striking the crystals would only cut them. He has no knowledge the armor strength of the monsters. |

Xypher stalked through the forest, thinking of his home and how he will never get to go back. The world had changed since he'd been banned to hell. Since Hades had taken his home and life for something he hadn't done. Xypher was tall, 6'3, and he had black hair that waved down to his shoulders. His eyes were a startling blue that stood out, ice cold and at the same time burning with the thirst for vengence. He wore black jeans and a black shirt and black boots. His muscled body was scared from centuries of beatings. In hell you were beat y skeletons with ling whips that doned silver spikes on the end. You learned to shut your screams and take the pain. Xypher was amazed at the city. The last time he'd been in earth the people were on farms with no electricity and they were afraid of the dark. Because of him and his kind. Xypher was a skotos. He used to be a dram god, going into dreams and making sure the human race was safe there. But then a dream god decided to play in the dreams of Zues. Zues didn't share the laugh and orded all dream gods to be striped of emotion. Then they found out that his banishment didn't work in a humans dreams. They could take emotions from a human while in their dreams. So some began to crave it, becoming addicted to the emotion they no longer pocessed. They turned rougue and were known as Skotos. And that was Xypher. The powers of a god with the vengence thirst of a demon. But when he heard the little scream, the plea for help, he cursed himself for running in that direction, for running to save a little girl. Reaching the spot, she jummped over the creatures into the middle of the circle, in front of the girl. Quickly and efficiently, he send three shots of his energy from his paml. These shots could kill gods, they could kill beasts as well. As each creature dissinigrated, xypher turned to the other man and the dog. Obviously he'd been trying to help. A dumb thing for a blind man to do. "Are you okay?" He asked, turning to the little girl. |
