((Open. If you think you don't know anything on this or feel dismayed because it seems like I got this from a book or a show, don't be. Just jump in, cause I made this stuff up.)) Summary: Sy Hawkins was walking Lilia, a Labrador puppy owned by Nicolae, in Sleepy Meadows when all of a sudden, it became possessed by a rather polite and sensitive demon/spirit named Oraye; then entered Aicirret, a beautiful warrior woman who got lost in Hoseki's magical aura. Sy's harsh words led the poor demon to distraught, thus having Aicirret to try and calm the poor thing, and Sy making an effort to actually be nice for once. It was then revealed that Aicirret was looking for a town called Versan Lies. The town being unknown to Sy, she agrees to take Aicirret to Treetop Village for supplies. Setting: Fair winds whistle through this beautiful forest of white crystalline trees, creating natural music for this forest of light Hoseki Forest, closely means “treasured forest,” carries many mysteries in its snow-speckled trees surrounding a central village raised ten stories from the ground. Thick as modern-day buildings and challenging in height, the trees display a pure white vision, with opal leaves decorating the wide and complex branches. This forest lies north of the Xenith region, the last of the magical forests in the continent of Matnook. Written on one of the trees, the largest and grandest, was this: Caring for those who should be cared for. Letting inside those who cry sanctuary. A connection to her sister. Always and forever sacred. Hoseki Forest The magical aura must've hidden the village from Aicirret because it was in plain sight, only a quarter mile away from Sleepy Meadows. The magical aura also befuddles visitors unless accompanied by a Hosekian guide, who knows the forest like the back of their hand. The village high up on the trees and is layered with huts and ladders, with the support floors hugging the Hosekian trees and now constructed with hard stone that resembles masonry wasp nests. There are fifty floors respectfully. The way to get up to the first floor is by the main staircase that circles around the central tree. Sy pointed to this and walked towards it. Player appearance and descriptions Oraye ((in reference to the little black labrador, Lilia)) It grew another foot, now reaching about three feet and with rippling, gigantic muscle. If dark before, the Lab's coat would go a pitch black, filled with crimson runes and spiked wickedly. The fangs and claws would grow, turning the same blood red as the runes, the eyes gaining cat slits and the 'accent' color of this strange hell hound. If one was sensitive to such forces, they could see a faint black aura radiating from the demonic form. Aicirret She has long, flowing silver hair that reaches her waist. Her hair is held back by a jet black ribbon that had been given to her by her mother and father before they died. She has crimson eyes which can pierce the very soul if she wishes, almost literally. She wears a black, long sleeved shirt with the right sleeve being cut off at the shoulder. All over the shirt is a golden dragon which is poised to bite her neck. Then, she wears a pair of skin tight, black pants which has numerous pockets. She wears a black belt on her waist with chambers for various things, weapons and such. All of this is flame proofed so she does not needlessly waste clothing. She also wears a pair of black gloves so she can protect her hands from harm as well. She also wears a chest plate underneath the black shirt. Then she wears a pair of leg armor as well so she can protect herself, but it is loose and light enough so as to not restrict her movement. She has a pair of black formal fighting shoes that are fireproofed as well and can protect her feet from minor attacks. She has a sword crossed over her back so easy access it is next to the left side of her head. She can use many forms of fire magic, including(don't kill me for using this) Dragon of the Darkness Flame. She has various kunai, shuriken, and senbon. Then, she has flash bangs, smoke bombs, and sleeping gas which she only uses in desperate situations since she believes in her fighting abilities. Last posts: Oraye: Oraye stood up, shaking a little in fright and a little remaining status, and followed the two, having the urge to stay close to these girls...They had at least been nice to him, once he explained himself. It was more than most allowed... ...When they reached the village, the demon looked up in awe at the big trees...They frightened him with their size, but he kept the fear far enough down. Then, came the ladder. It was impossible, or at least he told himself, to climb up the ladder. So, he merely curled up by the ladder, waiting for someone to carry him up, when...He grew. About another foot in size and muscle, fangs and claws growing to the same proportion, but a new feature was added to this beast...Bat-like wings, with a huge ten-foot, muscular wingspan of crimson membrane sprouted from his back. He groaned, not in pain but the fact that he had no doubt the girls would be surprised by this...That sort of thing tended to happen over time of possession. "Did I scare you again? Oh, oh, I'm so sorry...It's just a little side effect, please, just don't be afraid...I'm still the same...I'm sorry..." Sullenly, he pumped his wings and lifted himself into the air, and onto the first floor, near the place where the ladder ended. Aicirret I walk following close behind. I make a slight gasp as I look at the city, fully understanding why it is called Tree-top city. "Wow, this is amazing!" I exclaim lightly, understanding that this place is fully magical. I walk towards the stairs, beginning to walk up the stairs. But then the transformation continued once again. I look on, slightly confused but understanding at the same time. "No, not scared, just slightly surprised," I state, smiling lightly at you as you fly up, me following behind swiftly. @_@’ ((you know what? I meant to say “staircase” not ladder. The description has been edited from above, but I need to note this so y’all wouldn’t be like “wait a minute.” ^^;; sorry guys)) “Dude, don’t even worry about it,” Sy said to Oraye, climbing the stairs. She didn’t say anymore in order not to insult the spirit. She knows herself to sound callous and rude, but she didn’t mean anything real harsh about it. It’s always been the way she talked. She whistled a very infectious tune while they both climb the wooden stairs. If the others know the music, then they would know that the song title is “The Littlest Worm,” but no real harm if they didn’t. Knowing the song isn’t required to get up to the first floor anyway. The first floor had a notice carved into one of the trees “Treetop Village, the official community of Hoseki Forest, one of the two enchanted forests of Matnook continent that takes up the Northern portion of the Xenith region, population: 2935” and another one beneath it: “Fire Marshall Notice: Capacity: 50 per floor unless noted otherwise.” The first floor had an information kiosk, probably to welcome new travelers or tourists. Exactly how the visitors would get here with the magical field in place would prop up in any mind. The kiosk is ten feet tall, a small cabin by the looks of it, with the sign in English. “There are maps in there,” Sy pointed to the Kiosk, “plus some travel gear if you need them. Second floor is where the food is, this is sorta like a Road Trip stop ‘cause people started coming here to relax and enjoy the scenery and junk.” |

((You seem quite good at recapping...You should be a sports newscaster! XDXDXD)) Saying 'not to worry about it' was one of the best things that Sy could have done. It made him feel like she liked him enough to forgive him, which was all he really wanted. Quite a bit more pleased, Oraye watched from the sidelines as Sy and Aic conversed, not quite sure if he could fit into anything the two were talking about. So, instead, he simply laid down and waited patiently until everything Aic needed was ready. Then, he got up, and approached Sy shyly. "Um, is this where...Uh...The owner of this nice doggie lives? I, uh, just want the owner to know...Er...Because...Because I think they should..." |

I smile brightly as we walk up the staircase, catching a glimpse of the warning and sign explaining the fact that this is a town. I look about, listening to you explain. "All I need is the food and such, so it shouldn't take me too long Oraye-san and Sy-san," I state, walking towards the kiosk for I can grab a map. |

“No problem, uh, Ai-san…” she never called anyone by an honorable in Japanese. Well, only Yahiko-CHAN, but that’s an entirely different story altogether. Sy froze. What would happen if Nico found out his dog is possessed? Logically, he wouldn’t be so fazed by it, but since she pegs him as an emo/stoically tragic/gothic Neo~, she wouldn’t be surprised that he can be capable of raising all sorts of hell if he wanted to. “Weeeeeell…”she elongated the word. “It’s a good idea to keep quiet about before Nico finds—“ “Finds what?” a voice barely above a whisper sounded behind her. If only she could see her own face. She could post it on Myspace or something for laughs, but her heart froze, just like the air around him. He had a natural aura that whenever he was around, the air became frigid and cold. She rubbed her arms. Nicolae stood behind her. She could wonder all day how he keeps doing that, even though he says himself that he walks. He freakin’ lies, she thought. “Whatchoo talking about!? You listening to my conversations! EAVESDROPPER!!” She’d hope the sudden amount of blame would unnerve him, but he calmly asks, without looking directly at her: “Where’s Lilia?” Note the way his eyes don’t wander, nor have the liveliness or the soul that other eyes may have. He showed no visible emotion either and the way he carried himself with a perfect posture and neatly erected head hints that he must belong to nobility. Oraye barely felt the sudden chill in the air, but it was still noticeable enough that he attributed the climate to the newest arrival...Who was he? The hellhound could tell he was blind, but beyond that...Oh. He had asked about the dog. Now actually confronted with the decision to tell or not, Oraye backed down with a small whimper. But, eventually, he found the courage to ask, and did so with a trembling voice. "Um, sir, about your doggie...Er...Well, I'm possessing her, I guess...You see, my name is Oraye, and, and, I sometimes need a host and...and your doggie seemed nice. I...I didn't know she was yours, and I'm so sorry..." He looked away now and whimpered pitifully, unsure of just how the man would react. |

I look over as I sense the temperature change. I see him clearly, curious until he mentions the dog. I smile and sigh lightly, walking towards you guys as I place the map into my backpack. I bow lightly and then take a closer look, noticing that it was somewhat idiotic now since the man is blind. I sigh lightly, extending my hand out to shake. "An honor to meet you sir, my name is Aicirret Ketsueki," I state, smiling brightly, until Oraye mentions that fact he is possessing his dog. I look over to the now whimpering spirit and place a hand gently on his forehead, petting him gently to calm him. "Don't worry, I am sure he isn't too angry." |

Nicolae Nico betrayed a twitch in the corner of his mouth. “Is Lilia still there? Dire consequences will be machinated for your ill-conceived possession.” The air grew colder, even more so as an ominous wind stirred in the hut. He didn’t acknowledge Aicirret’s hand, but slightly bowed his own head to her introduction. “Nicolae,” he responded shortly. ~~~~~~~~~~ Sy “See!” she said. “He’s not mad!” Sy said this rather happily. Too happily in fact. |

He calmed down for a bit when Aic petted him, but still looked apprehensively at Nicholae for a response. Fears were running through his head like a train, and nothing could calm it except the response by the owner... ...Well, that certainly didn't help. Oraye began wailing uncontrollably as he was threatened. He said he was sorry, he really was! All he wanted was to rest for a bit, then leave! But...but...he had hurt the owner by possessing his nice doggie. He didn't know! He was so, so sorry! He cried, and barely managed a sentence through the sobs. "Please...don't...hurt...hurt me...I...said...I...I...I'm sorry!" He went back to sobbing, not even able to answer his question, which actually might have ended the whole thing there and then. Yes, Lilia could easily be recovered, he just needed her temporarily. But now he was too flustered and afraid to register he had ever been asked that. |

I silently continue to pet him to try and comfort him. I look up at the blind man, understanding his anger yet angry at him for doing this. "Don't worry, just answer his question, I am sure it is a yes," I state, rubbing his ears gently once again. |

Nicolae "Your response is inadequate. Give an appropriate answer before I assume the worst," he said mechanically, obviously ignoring the fact that Oraye is upset and hurt. Normal people would've been flustered and tried to calm him down before trying to resume the conversation, but his cold and calculating personage might upset Oraye the more. ~~~~~~~~~~ Sy Due to Nico's height, she jumped up to slap behind Nico's head. "You. Are. An. ASS!" She bent down to Oraye so she can meet him eye-level. "Look, he's not good at softening up, so if it helps, try to change what he said into something nice. Yeah, I can be mean too and one of my friends used that move to not get upset and talk about murdering me," she said with her hand on her head. "So ya get what I'm sayin'? |

((Crap post. D=)) There was absolutely no way he was going to be calmed out of this crying fit, at least not by any attempt of Aic or Sy. He would have appreciated their help, but he had been deeply hurt by Nicolae, and it was only he who could calm him down. His very presence was making him bawl, and like the cold air that surrounded him he was so merciless it was scaring him badly. He tried to make an attempt at speaking, to finally say that there was no harm done to the dog, but couldn't get the words out. He tried to nod his head, but it just turned into sporadic and jerky movements in no particular directions. He was, quite simply, a wreck just because Nico wouldn't show any form of pity. ((Man, he's probably asking the impossible...Poor guy, and it won't help that he becomes more monstrous next turn. D=)) |

Aicirret looks at him, noticing his subtle movements of the head, well, jerky movements that anyone else would determine something else about it but she knows people in distress and crying makes you somewhat jerky in the head response department. "He says yes, your dog is safe," she states, looking at Nico with increasingly hateful, anger rising. |

Nicolae He placed his hand on the back of his head, where Sy hit him. "Apologies, MISS Hawkins," he said, emphasizing the suffix, "and apologies to Oraye, perhaps my reactions came off too harsh." He took note of the stress patters of Aicirret's voice. Obviously he angered her, but he didn't apologize to her. He felt there was no need to since he gave his to Oraye. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sy Sy stuck out her tongue, not giving a crap if he could see or not. "See Oraye! He's cool with it!" she said, turning to Aicirret. "Well, ya need food right, follow me up the rope ladder and we can get ya beef jerky and other food stuff." She walked out of the Kiosk and up the rope ladder to the second floor, which is slightly more barren than the first floor, with one supply store filled with dried food, canteens, water refill stations, etc. |

Oraye got quite a bit better at being apologized to. He was able to nod, then the tears finally stopped enough for him to lick Aic plenty of times, thanking her for helping him get his message out. Then, he finally stood on wobbly legs, walked over to Sy, and licked her legs thankfully, and finally went over to Nicolae. "Thank you...It means a lot..." he said shyly, before turning away, allowing room for Sy and Aic's brief conversation. He was about to follow Sy up the rope ladder--he obviously felt much safer around the girls than Nicolae--when he suddenly groaned. He was feeling a huge in-surge of power, and knew exactly what it meant, and that's why he groaned. Poor timing, for sure. Bones cracked, shadow-flesh ripped and reformed as Oraye grew and grew, before finally towering over even Nicolae, a huge hulking mass. In best terms, he looked like a single-headed winged Cerberus, teeth, claws, and wings gigantic in these proportions. Despite all of this, Oraye's disposition clearly remained. He hastily retreated to a corner, whining pitifully while awaiting whatever surprised expressions came out. He hurriedly looked over a Nicolae, and spoke quickly, making sure to explain before Nico once again starting speaking of consequences. "Oh, um, don't worry about this, please. Over time I grow a little, but once I leave your, um, nice doggie will still be completely normal. Okay? Sorry for the fright..." His voice was far deeper, but the meek, apologetic tone still shown through. |

Aicirret sighs in relief as the man apologizes to the poor Oraye. She laughs and giggles as she is licked and thanked for getting his message out. "You're welcome Oraye," she states with a bright smile. She then turns to Sy and nods lightly, standing up once again. "Yes, arigato Sy," she states going towards the ladder and she senses Oraye follow behind. But then she heard the groan and she turns around, trying to see if he was alright. Her eyes grow wide for a second before they shrink back to normal as he flees. She shakes her head at his fear even in his current size and form. She walks over, petting his legs since she can no longer reach his head. "It is alright Oraye, you already explained this to us," she states with a slight coo to calm and comfort him. |

Nicolae Nicolae didn’t respond to Oraye’s “thanks” but walked out of the kiosk then jumped, propelled by his wings, onto the next platform. He took the time to memorize the layout of the Hosekian village for greater ease. However he can’t recall exactly where he landed at the moment, but followed the women and his former dog into the supply store. Bones cracked, causing him to raise an eyebrow. “Lilia grew?” he responded to Oraye’s apologies. He couldn’t see the result, but his grimace communicated his discomfort over the situation. Afterall, Lilia is dear to him, even if it was a joke from Sy. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sy Sy quickly made a motion to Oraye with one hand over the other crossing back and forth, with Sy shaking her head. She’s trying to say “don’t say anymore” to him in her silent gestures. She doesn’t mind him growing really. As long as Lilia is fine at the end, that’s cool with her. The only possible thing Sy would get upset about is if Oraye turns around and says ‘ha ha, I’m taller than you,’ which she thinks he wouldn’t since he’s polite about it. “Arigato? Umm, that’s ‘thank you,’ right?” she asked. She doesn’t know much about Japanese except for maybe a few anime fangirl jargons she learned over the years. Gotta love the anime, she thought. “Ok, you got your jerky there, good protein, and maybe some energy bars, yeah those ones over there,” she said, pointing out each item like a poorly trained tour guide. “Good ol’ canteens can hold like three gallons of water, don’t they look small though? Then ya got your hunting supplies if you want to shoot at game or fish and junk like that. Since I work in Hoseki Forest, you can say ‘this one’s on Sy’ and they’ll take it out of my next paycheck so don’t worry about it, ‘kay?” She wished she hadn’t said that. Aicirret might’ve had money but decided to take advantage of that offer. Oh well, no use taking it back now. She didn’t betray this, but waited for her answer. |
